Now that he's missed 4 games already, getting him on the field, even for a handful of downs each game will be critical for his development.

True, even DJ wasn't good as a rookie. He had to grow into the good player that he is and McKinnley will have to do the same.

I do think McKinnley can be a similar player down the road though, same size, plenty strong and was one of the top run stopping NT's
in the Draft. We need him back healthy to see what we have, heard he was really hard to move in OTA's and in TC before he got hurt.

Anyone know how long Jenkins is expected to play with the club? Not sure how long it takes to recover from thumb surgery. A couple of months?

Don't know how long Jenkins will be with the club.

BTW, just heard Murphy and McKinnley might actually play soon. Hope Murphy will at the very least, I like what I have seen of this guy.

Murphy, McKinney and Hill all practiced today.

Jenkins is living up to his billing. Notice how on the goal line play he used his smarts to get in the right spot and strength (strongest DL in the draft) plus an excellent angle to push the OL into the gap the RB was using. It allowed the defense to blow up the play.
