Andy was and is a solid QB in the NFL. Off field he is first class. Today he is the opposing QB - much as I like Andy I want him beaten today. It's that simple.

Spot on. He's a decent QB, always was, and is a tremendous guy.

For us, he was absolutely typical of the team. Talented enough to put us in the picture. A good QB with pieces around him. Absolutely dreadful under the lights. But that wasn't just Dalton, that was the Bengals as a whole. Really was the perfect QB for those teams.

Good Call. Andy didn't single-handedly lose that one.

Wanna know why?

Andy turned in the same fair-to-middling performance he usually has against us.  This time his receivers let him down and we just outlasted him.   Good luck to him the rest of the way.

By the current "crown of the helmet" rule, that shot probably wouldn't be targeting. However still likely to draw an unnecessary roughness call.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I always thought it was Burfict's shoulder pad not his helmet. Can't really tell from that angle although all other NFL fans swear that you can.

Definitely and CLEARLY hits shoulder to helmet.

It is not that clear, only in that image that I think is not propagated. The angle that is publicized it doesn't look like he hits his helmet at all IMO.

Agree. Would've been unnecessary roughness drawn.

Absolutely loved Burfict's aggressiveness, and he was playing like a man on fire that game. But, that play was a real shame and killer. The ball was already high and incomplete while Burfict was still 2 yds away from him.
Absolutely no need to be getting in a shot there on Brown at the end of the game in a moment like that. Burfict should never even have touched him.

Situational awareness and discipline (cough cough Marvin Lewis' teams) was an extreme failure in that moment by Burfict.

That said, Burfict's terrific sack on Big Rapelisberger and his late INT which should've practically sealed the game were freaking awesome! (Jeremy Hill you freaking maroon).

Good post. Dalton was good fit and typical for those Bengals teams. He's still decent (probably the best backup caliber QB in the league and a good one to have as a backup). Wish him luck rest of the way now that's he's no longer facing Cincy, hehe
