Letting Tee walk would essentially be doing the same thing you did to the D, to the O

Ouch!!! Now that's saying something. I honestly don't remember much about those defenses.

The way I see it, we already ruined the defense by letting key free agents walk.

May as well preserve the offense :)

Iosivias passes the eye test. I'm thinking by next season he will be a quality number 2. which makes Tee expendable

Yoshi has done well this year with some tough catches but I still need to see more from him to feel comfortable with him moving up to #2. With both Tee and Chase on the field, Yoshi should be getting open a lot but the number of passes heading his way hasn't suggested he's open a lot. With that said, I did see a play yesterday where Burrow missed him wide open for a TD. I believe it was the next series when they threw him the long pass he caught.

Iosivas is on pace for about 500 yards this season. That is in no way a legitimate replacement for Tee Higgins. Those are Auden Tate numbers.

I’d be much more comfortable with him as a #3, than a #2.

But can the Bengals be trusted with the money?  We need help on D so bad that there's no way we can keep Tee.

We've got to draft better to get these players on cheap deals so we can afford a joe, jamarr and a Trey.  That's what's making the difference in my opinion.

That's playing a whopping 81% of the snaps this year, too. He was on pace for about 280 yards when he was the #2 before Tee returned. Right now he seems primarily like a #4 type guy who you put in the game when you get inside the 10.

I've long since been on the "we shouldn't pay both Chase and Tee, and you have to pay Chase" team, and I still stand with that. We don't need a Tee-caliber #2, but we do need a more legit #2 than Yoshi is and will likely ever be.

I feel that we do need to make a trade at some point this year to get interior pass rush and possibly secondary help.

The question is whether we will be 5-4 by 4PM on Nov. 3rd. If yes, then we have two days to get a trade done.

The second question is who/what do we use as chips for the trade?

The Bengals have only "added" one player through a mid-season since 1972. That was BJ Finney in the Dunlap trade, and that was purely for financial reasons that we got him in return (he was active for just 1 games and played just 2 snaps on special teams and then was cut in the offseason).

So it's pretty safe to say the Bengals have never actually added an actual player mid-season in over half a century.
