Pretty sure the Steelers are going to induct Collinsworth into their announcer ROH. I have 0 idea why/how this dude became such a Steeler's fan

He's pining for a statue of himself outside the stadium with some of his commentary.

He got the NFL memo....must never criticize the Steelers, must claim Mike Tomlin is a God, and Rooney is the best owner ever.  Wash, rinse, and repeat for Kansas City, Reid, and the Hunts

He has said in the past that he goes out of his way to downplay us and to boost our rivals, just to not be considered a Bengals homer, of which he undoubtedly is more than anything else.

It works, clearly, as this board has done nothing but complain about this exact thing since I joined in '09.

All I need to say is that actions speak louder than words: a guy with 0 ties to this city until he was drafted, moves his entire family here and despite being a Florida guy and all that it entails, he has chosen to keep himself and his family in the city, has all of his businesses here, attends EVERY Bengal alumni event if it doesn't take place on a Sunday and absolutely gushes over the team in every interview he has about them.

Actions, not commentary.

Last night he gushed a little more than usual about all of Pittsburgh being a football town and the Western PA religion of football.

The same can be said about Kirk Herbstreit.  Ohio State fans kind of ran him out of Columbus for not being a Homer while doing Buckeye games, and he then moved to Tennessee.

So you agree he could be a nominee for the Steeler's announcer ROH based on his commentary?

Those are words/commentary, not actions.
