Bengals first win over NY Giants on the road.
#1
Their first win over the Giants in NJ/NY.

Second win ever in NJ. Their only other win was in 2022 against the Jets.

They never won a game in the Meadowlands in NJ against the Giants or Jets. Cry

I was at a Thanksgiving game against the Jets in the Meadowland cold, rainy. Cry Cry

Just another monkey off of the Bengals' back in the Zac Taylor era. I like what he's doing, I just wish that he'd speed things up a bit. I mean, I'm 55 now and they still haven't won a Superbowl in my lifetime..

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I know for a fact we've beaten the Jets at NY before 2022. I remember the 2016 9/11 game in New York and us winning.

Here is the history of Bengals vs. Giants since 1972 for anyone interested.  They haven't actually had a lot of games @Giants anyway.  But a first win against them there is still welcome.

Yes week 1 of the 2016 season:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Cincinnati_Bengals_season#Regular_season

Edit here is the game summary from Wikipedia which I found interesting:

Quote:In a hard fought affair, Andy Dalton threw for 366 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked a career-high seven times. A. J. Green finished the game with 12 receptions for 180 yards plus a touchdown. The Bengals trailed by one with just over three minutes left in the game, but Dalton completed all four of his passes for 33 yards to set up Mike Nugent's go-ahead field goal with 54 seconds remaining. Three plays into the ensuing Jets' drive, Bengals' defensive back Josh Shaw recorded his first interception, picking off Ryan Fitzpatrick on a 3rd and 10 to seal a third straight season-opening victory for Cincinnati as they started 1–0. They also snapped a 9-game road losing streak to the Jets.

I remember that game.  I was at my then-girlfriend's house (soon to be wife and now (drumroll) ex-wife) and she was preparing food for the next day when she was hosting me and her family for Thanksgiving.  This was after I had hosted her and my family at my house earlier that day.  Can't beat two Thanksgivings.  Anyway, she had Dish and whatever network the game was on was having a dispute with my cable carrier so I went to her house to watch the game.  Every once in a while she'd emerge from the kitchen and ask how it was going.  I just remember it was a miserable, miserable game.  And this after waiting all those years for the Bengals to finally play their very first game on Thanksgiving.

Giants are one of the most boring teams to watch. It's low scoring, nothing explosive. It just seems to be a grind them out team, no matter who their HC is.

I stand corrected that game was at Metlife and not the Meadowgrounds stadium as the Bengals never won there against either NY team.

I remember that game well.....by the end of that year, Dalton was seeing ghosts. He took a beating that just continued to get worse over the years.

Good to know, I remember we played them pretty good in their place after they won the Super Bowl and it was Carson Palmer who
was our QB, but we ended losing in the end. Was a good game though against a SB winning team that beat Tom Brady.
