Good ol Boone lol I still present to health classes there all day four times a year.

I still remember through the nineties up until the wreck when they were just a smash-mouth run-it-down-your-throat program.

Taking a look at that, I would put Dillon firmly in the "not likely" category. Same with Eddie George. Both are low on the list, relatively speaking. I think both of those guys, Jackson included, are in the Hall of Very Good. Dillon just doesn't have the accolades. Four Pro Bowls and a ring. No All-Pros, no OPOY, no ROY. I could be wrong, but I would bet on no.

Well, that should be enough, but throw in the following:

Broke the NFL single game rushing record
Broke the NFL single game rookie rushing record.

When it comes to individual game performances, Dillon had some real jaw droppers.  The dude was something else.  There are stat compilers and then there are guys that carry an offense.  Corey carried an offense and if I'm not mistaken, broke one of those records when the offense threw for 14 yards.

I was waiting for someone to mention those 2 games.

I understand the sentiment but he is unlikely to get in. He was a force on some awful Bengal teams and even a Super Bowl winning team, but he likely doesn't have enough accolades.

I think CD rubbed people wrong for whatever reasons.

I don't think voters care about second team All-Pros, so he'd have one AP, an OPOY and four Pro-Bowls. For example, his resume is similar to a guy like Chris Johnson who had three Pro-Bowls, an AP and an OPOY. The problem is that CJ2K fell off pretty sharply. Now, I think Henry's resume is better than CJ2K but it's not a drastic difference.

I do think that Henry will continue his trajectory and end up being a HoFer but he isn't a HoFer as of today IMO. He's on pace for another 2k season, though. Probably another AP, maybe an OPOY. I would expect him to have the accolades necessary by the end of his career.

I agree. He's on the cusp. Getting close in yards and he already has almost 100 tds. Only problem is, he's only #30 on the all time rush list and the big cutoff right now is around #17. He has 10 guys in front of him on the list that are eligible but not in the Hall yet.

If he can hold up this year and probably 2 more years, he's a shoo in.

Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson will go in soon to complete the top 16 all being in.

I had typed pretty much the same thing, but then deleted it to avoid arguing about it. The main thing keeping Corey Dillon out is Corey Dillon's attitude. He was/is just a nasty person who always seemed angry at life for some reason. When people don't like you, they aren't apt to vote for you.

When he kills his ex wife and her dude, and commits armed robbery years later, you'll have a point. And don't try to say OJ was cool and well adjusted before that.
