Any other team in the NFL,would have fired Tobin a long time ago.For incompetence.

Here we are, once again. The management of the team does just enough to feign like they're attempting to make moves to improve the roster. While there are no guarantees that bringing Howard on would dramatically improve the secondary, I'd like to think that he wouldn't have made the room any worse.

Our next best WR is on pace for 168 yards and is entirely untrustworthy to show up for practice or to keep running his route.

I don't think we are "beyond fine" at WR. It's not the number 1 position of need that needs help on this team, but it's pretty much Chase or nothing at WR and if he gets hurt our starting WR group will be Yoshi, Burton, and Irwin.

While I don't disagree about the predictions and the like, have we lost any games this year because of lackluster WR play?

Maybe 1 game, if that.

We're fine on offense, outside of IOL. That's been the only major area of weakness.

Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 8, and Week 10... Yoshi with 52 yards Week 3 is the highest a non-Chase WR got in those 5 losses.

2024 Bengals WR Efficiency/Productivity
Chase: 569 offensive snaps, 66-87 (75.9%), 981 yards (11.3 per target), 44 1st Down (50.6% targets for 1D)
Others: 1,003 offensive snaps, 54-102 (52.9%), 697 yards (6.8 per target), 39 1st Down (38.2% targets for 1D)

Chase is CARRYING the WRs this year. If he wasn't having a OPoY caliber year, it'd be even more apparent how bad this WR group has been this year.

Kicking tires in response to bad press.

Even that was too little too late. Neither of this names would change anything. They could have traded for a CB if they really were trying. RB hey should be able to poach off someone’s practice squad now that they traded for a vet. One that could turn into a future piece.

That's been a major area of weakness for a long time around here, was preceding Zac Taylor. The management would rather keep the team stocked in good perimeter players than build a fundamentally solid team from the inside out. Like it should be done.
