Saw this coming - his mechanics are off and one potential cause was injury. So their failure to act on injury cost us 2 games right here and probably a third by trying to rush OBJr back. Yes this has been a bad luck injury season but they've made it worse by slow action.

First time McPherson looked like himself this season to me and then he is injured. This sucks.

Thought it was all mental though, this makes sense if a groin injury was nagging him. Still, should of made a move.

He cost us a game or two. This season. Whatever

I doubt he's wrong. This organization is so mismanaged right now it's stupid!

So, he's been missing his kicks because of a nagging groin injury and that's a plausible reason, but why didn't the FO address this during the off week???

Can they be that daff?

Still had that big draw on his first FG that made it look pretty close. Maybe he was over-compensating.

or his mechanics are off and he ended up straining the groin because of it

Yep, between him and this Defense it has been rough.

True, that one was the one that got me nervous. Thankfully he started nailing them right down the middle after.

No missed FG's or extra points against them stealers was nice to see. He has been that bad this season.

I was never nervous about him until this year honestly. Hopefully it will all be behind him by the time he is back.

When it gets in your head, it can destroy even the best Kickers as we see with Tucker in B-more.

York's 2022 FG % (75%).  No stats for 2023 but 0% 0-2 so far this year when he was with Washiginton.   Let's hope he can fill in and do a decent job.  McPherson is 73% on the season. Hopefully York won't be worse.

So please refrain from any nicknames for York. However if the Bengals do a fake field goal and he runs the ball for a 1st down or TD I'm okay with calling him the Yorkshire Carrier.   Tongue

Ya that's probably the best therapy for MoneyMac and the only thing that's gotten him thru this is watching the absolute best modern day kicker damn near in NFL history look even worse than him.

I mean honestly, just put the Mac on injured reserves and let the guy heal and call it a season.  Not like this team has anything to play for.

Let York kick the rest of the season. He can't be much worse than Mac has been this year for sure.
