Rule 5 Draft

Reds added IF/OF Cooper Bowman from the A's. He was their 22nd ranked prospect. According to the MLB.com, he becomes the Reds 26th ranked. 

In the minor league phase of the draft, they nabbed P's Joel Valdez and Brandon Komar. They also lost IF Jose Torres to the Rockies.

Losing a AA SS is near nothing for this team. That's a deep position in the upper levels of this franchise.

Not sure if it's telling or not that no one wanted anyone from the Reds during the Rule 5 draft and only one during the minor league phase. That big wave of young players may have emptied the minors of all of the quality players.
