Why is York still on the team?
#1
From what I can tell, York is still on the roster. I realize there’s only one game left (most likely) but he’s clearly not reliable and shouldn’t see the field in any pressure situations. So why haven’t the Bengals replaced him yet with some other free agent kicker who would be an upgrade?

I'm not sure there's one out there, but I do agree, he has struggled. I think that obviously factored into the decision to score a TD instead of kicking a FG and running down the clock. It would have for me.

He’s as good as anything you’ll find on the street.

This time of year there aren’t any of those people on the streets so you settle for the one that misses the fewest

Kickerball is a bad way to live. Leaving it in their hands is never a good idea.

Shayne Graham even shanked the pizza kick last week.

Ah see, there you went and asked that same pesky question that ruins a "he should be fired" post.

That's kind of funny.  I was thinking about starting a thread a bit ago with the title McPherson is about to get Wally Pipped because I saw where a fan made a 40 yard kick before the Browns game to win free pizza for the stadium.   :)

No. That had nothing to do with it. If we didn't trust York, we would not have been playing for a FG in the first place.

Again, once we had to use an injury TO, then Denver could have called TO after 2nd. And if we did not score on 3rd, they'd have been down 3 with just under a minute. Hardly impossible.

It’s gonna stink to battle CrapsBurgh in what I think will be a dogfight of a game tonight - knowing a DUB may come down to York vs Boswell Sad
