I know the chances of Joe getting it are slim to nearly none. But IMHO, and Troy's - he should

The names mostly thrown out there are Allen, Lamar, and then Burrow.

Playoff seeding will likely make the difference, meaning of course it will probably go to Allen. Even if Burrow doesn't get it, he deserves major recognition.

Yup Allen is right next to a shoe in, however...

Without Joe on this team we'd maybe have 1 or 2 wins this season, tops. So, he is indeed the most valuable player. But will not get serious consideration because of record. And that sucks!

The only way he get any serious consideration at all is if we somehow make the playoffs and that's very unlikely.

Micah Parsons on his podcast said that Burrow is the best QB in the league this year, and thats after facing Lamar too. He also mentioned this was consensus in their locker room. But the main problem is not making the playoffs, so what is a career year for Burrow, the Bengals GMs, Tobins, Lou, and Taylor failed massively this season assuming they don't make the playoffs.

Just after 9:20 minute mark.

And it sucks!

A DB on the Titans called Joe - Houdini talking to J. Chase or Tee after a play. And he is. I'm just praying the clowns at the top don't fail Joe again this offseason.

It's also very interesting what he says at about 29 mins. about Darnold and Mayfield at Carolina and both failed. And Micah said it was their environment there. Bad schemes, coaching, play calling and so on.

Joe likewise has to deal with an awful F.O.

Yeah it's pretty insane to have a QB playing at Burrow's level with those numbers only to not make the playoffs.

Our only hope as fans is that this will be a massive wake up call to the FAMILY, Tobin, Taylor, etc. If it doesn't, then they value their pride in how they run things over having pride in wanting to be winners (shocker right?)

If I were voting, Allen would probably be 4th or 5th.

His numbers aren't even close to Lamar, Joe or Saquon and are more comparable to Darnold and Goff (who have both led their teams to better records, with harder schedules), save for literally rushing TDs. That's it.

As of right now, if the whole, "team making the playoffs," thing is a requirement (it shouldn't be and it's bullshit that it is), then it's Lamar, then Saquan and I wouldn't consider anyone else.

If playoffs don't matter, then Joe vaults to the top, as he has been the best player in the league this year.

X two

The only reason he's getting it - media darling Bills, they're a top seed in the playoffs, and Allen runs the ball well. Joe's numbers are leaps and bounds ahead of Allen's! And they've gave it to I choke in the playoffs every time Jackson twice lately so it'll be Allen. But it shouldn't be IMHO.

IF we make the playoffs JB should be NFL MVP. I get it's a semantics thing but team record must be considered when talking QB as Most VALUABLE Player.

I did find it amusing yesterday when the talking heads were debating Jackson v. Allen for MVP and one brought up how many games Allen has led BUF to over 30 points and was sure to point out he even lost 1 when his team scored 30+. Joe has lost 4.

Now Joe should be a shoo-in for Comeback Player, but will most likely lose Offense Player of the Year BECAUSE he's a QB,

He should be named All-Pro which would be huge

Are folks "voting" all so low only looking at Passing Numbers?  Dude has about 600 yards and 12 TDs on the ground.

Joe Burrow will be 2nd team all pro at the very least. Take solace in that

And Joe STILL has 500 more total yards and 4 more TDs.

Still want to say we're only looking at Passing numbers?

We'd probably be a 4 win team without Burrow.

Only folks who assert numbers aren't even close.

It's OK, both Joe and Josh can be great and deserving.

Have you ever seen an compilation of flops from Allen, tying to get a call? Someone should put up a comparison video of Burrow actually getting slammed late and hit in the head and just dusting himself up and playing. In my mind, it embarrassing for such a flopper as Allen to get the ultimate player award.

But that isn't close: Joe literally has two+ games more production in yards and 1 game more in TDs.

As I said, the other two are deserving, Allen is 4th or 5th.
