Go For 9-8 Record
#1
No losing seasons in 4 seasons, not since 2020. Not since they drafted Chase to team up with Burrow for the LSU Combo.

9-8 means not swept by Steelers.

9-8 could mean Play-Offs if Broncos lose to Chiefs and Dolphins lose at Jets with Aaron Rodgers. That could happen.

Play-Offs or no Play-Offs. BEAT STEELERS and finish with a winning record of 9-8

I mean, who the hell wants to be a losing team?

Let's show the Stoolers that they don't belong anywhere near the playoffs!

I cannot wrap my head around anyone rooting for their team to lose, even if it secures Joe Burrow as their draft pick.

It feeds into a loser mentality, which this team and fanbase do not need or deserve.

Four, but that fifth loss comes when they play at Baltimore next week LOL

Pittsburgh was fake, just an appeasement to Steelers fans. That team doesn’t look like they’d win a superbowl.

I still stand by that going into the 2025 offseason with the defense playing much better and offense on fire is far better than the other scenario some wanted of losing out simply for a better draft position.

Anyways it's a heck of a lot easier to see what needs fixing now than it would have been with a 4-13 record ....

Depends on if this now means nobody on the coaching staff is getting fired and nothing of any substance is going to change or get fixed. After all, they had a winning record and if they miss out on the playoffs it'll be just "barely" so why change what is working or nearly worked.

Wasn't cheering for them to lose out, but I also acknowledge that the Bengals FO probably aren't going to do anything now.

Yeah, the Steeler were all just smoke and mirrors to a bad team. Like years ago when they were undefeated for all that time, knowing full well they were mediocre. Fell apart and finished losers, as they deserve.

Fair enough. But do you trust this Mike Brown owned front office, to fix a 4-11 sinking ship, or to fix a 9-8 ship that ended the season on a 5-game winning streak?

I guess for me I have little to no faith they would change away from their 30+ year model model based on this seasons record..

I think there will be some changes but the question is how big, will Lou go and/or Pollack go, my guess is one will go, but the change has to come more from FO in drafting better and scoring on Free agents better.

this lil win streak against rather poor teams..and a   faltering steelers team...means nothing...we need a shakeup and players ..offensive and defensive lines..linebacker..defensive backfield..etc

I don't want to get into officiating and whether or not refs are betting on games through proxies (IMO they are), but I sure found it interesting how quickly they kept giving the Steelers first downs without measuring, and the chain guys were running to reposition, before being overturned by the booth review. What was that, 3 times? And I know they tried to explain it, but I missed the explanation on why not one because people in the room were talking, but two players landing on Burrow and driving him into the ground was not a flag.

It was three in a row, but they also called the Steelers on penalties in key moments. I'm of the opinion that the quality isn't there, much less something nefarious. I did hate the hit on Burrow, but can see it both ways.

I had never heard of the 10 second clock run off like that? Yes, I know about the injured player under 2 minutes.
As for the sack, Heyward prevented Preston from landing on his side..WTF does that have anything to do with it, it happened anyway...
Actually, applaud the review booth for getting shit right last night. The spot on Wilson's sneak, the 4th down play and another play in the 4th quarter they were just automatically going to give Pittsburgh.

Quote:The incident occurred on a critical third down as Burrow was sacked near the Steelers’ five-yard line. Both Herbig and Heyward landed on Burrow with their full body weight, driving his head into the turf. The impact was severe enough to warrant immediate attention from the Bengals’ medical staff. Despite the obvious nature of the hit, officials opted not to penalize the Steelers, sparking widespread criticism of NFL officiating.

All you Negative Nancy's......You clearly have no enjoyment of a Bengals win over rival Steelers.  This crap that The Steelers are bad and they lost.  NO.  The Steelers are a Play-Off Team. Give some credit that The Bengals WON.

If The Bengals do anything this off season, it is to stop having such weak Preseason Games.  Every season The Bengals lose too many games at the start of the season.  This concept of having weak Preseason games because it's a long season and wanting a strong finish in December.  You can't lose this much in September.  It's not about who they draft or any of that.  it's about being Ready To Play in Game One in September, and The Bengals NEVER are.  Starters need to get in a few reps in Preseason Game One, and get stretched out in Preseason Game Two. Go ahead and take off the last one to avoid injuries, but come back Ready to Win Games in September. Don't be so wimpy in August and get their butts ready to WIN in September.

But Come On Guy's.   I know most of you wallow in negativity like a pig in mud,  but none of you are happy about a Win over the Steelers ?   Really ?
