He is a Yale graduate with 16 years of NFL experience.

He is a minority, so Bengals meet Rooney rule of interviewing one minority candidate for DC.

Hope he's not actually the choice and is just the Bengals fulfilling the requirements.

His 6 years as a DC...
'19: 30th overall/32nd scoring
'20: 12th overall/9th scoring
'21: 21st overall/23rd scoring
'22: 28th overall/26th scoring
'23: 15th overall/9th scoring
'24: 15th overall/25th scoring

Has had a couple good years in there, but has never repeated it. That's way too many 23rd+.

Also not entirely a him thing but still concerning... he's NEVER been a DC on a winning team. 5 wins, 6 wins, 4 wins, 6 wins, 8 wins, 4 wins. The previous two teams he on before the Raiders both improved and had a winning season without him the next year.

Very ‘meh’ start, based entirely on his defensive performances.

Positive here is they fulfill the Rooney rule.

Saleh would also check that box.......and be a good hire.

But he would threaten ZT, so we won't do that  unfortunately.

Is a guy that went 20-36 with all losing seasons really a threat?

I had never heard of him. It appears he has mediocre results. Weird, he may be interviewed for Jags HC job, so it appears he has respect.

Another ‘meh’ interview.

I saw someone on X state that when they come out with two minorities right off the bat to fulfill the Rooney rule the 3rd interview is likely their top choice. We’ll see.

Rooney rule. requires 1 minority, not 2 for DC.

Hope they're just filling the Rooney rule because not real impressed with him either.

I do "talk" to a girl from up there that I met in college (she was somehow related to Bill Belichick or Robert Kraft, I forget) and people up there don't seem too impressed with him.

He did seem to be good with the defensive line and center of the defense, which is a big weakness for us because, even in today's passing era, we still need to be able to stop the run.

That’s just toxic x. You only need one minority interview so no need for 2.
