2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Most Disappointing Player of the year Offense -
1) Alex Cappa - I have no idea how he fell off so hard in 1 year. 1st in pressures allowed/sacks/hurries allowed per PFF. Lucky to not get Burrow killed back there.
2) Jermaine Burton - I wasn't expecting a ton from him this year with Chase/Higgins/Gesicki seeing most playing time but it definitely was more than whatever that was. Burrow gets (or will get) WR's and TE's paid. Burton had the opportunity to ball out and get the bag and just flushed it down the toilet.
Most Disappointing Player of the year Defense -
1) CTB - Like Cappa, such a fall off year after year. He seemed to play better near the end of the year so hoping he figures it out. Also doesn't help that the Dline stinks.
2) Murphy - 2nd year 1st round pick that just couldn't seem to beat out Ossai/Hubbard for playing time. Is this Murphy's fault or the coaches? He did seem to improve on pass win rate but still had 0 sacks. Just expecting so much more from a first round pick in his second year when the team desperately needed some DL pressures.
3) Stone - Looked rough for most of the season. Like the others, seemed to turn it around later in the season though.

How in the world do you not have Rankins on the most disappointing defensive player list?

Honestly, he has been such a non-factor and away from the team for so long that I forgot he was even on the team. He probably does take over the #1 spot.
I hope he recovers from whatever illness he has.

Most Disappointing Player of the year Defense - Rankins in the easy answer, but I’ll go with Myles Murphy. Getting absolutely nothing out of a 1st round pick in year two hurts.

Cody Ford most improved player
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Rascati may have been key to Chase putting up JJ numbers which many pointed to him never having done before. He knew that offense. Good pick.
