for Cam Gandy who stepped up off the PS when Erick All went down. Necessary depth piece since well we don't have any other healthy TE under contract for 2025. He was an ERFA

Thanks for the uodate. For the record, Sample and McLachlan are also under contract for next year. So 4 TE's total. Sample, All, Grandy, McLachlan.

I would not count on All for 2025 and I would make my roster building decisions as if he currently didn't exist. Two ACLs in the same knee in less than 12 months is going to be a pretty hefty recovery, assuming his knee is ever the same. Also now at 3 straight seasons ending early with surgery means he can't be counted on in any future planning.

Yeah, sucks too as All was playing very well before he went down. But those injuries are devastating and usually end a players career early.
We need to bring back Gesicki and at least think about a TE somewhat early in the Draft especially since Joe shown he uses the TE's this last
season. Hope we add to the trenches in FA so we open up the Draft for weapons.

Not sure I'd classify what he did as "Stepping Up".

He stepped up so much even the refs had to pause the game to congratulate him twice for stepping up.

I read a different presentation of the reason the Bengals wanted to keep Cam Grandy around, it's because he does really well on STs. He graded something like 82.7 for his STs work. He also graded respectably for his efforts as a blocking TE, as it certainly wasn't for his 5 catches for 28 yards.

Grandy's main job is special teams. I'd doubt he's gets much playing time if All never gets injured.
