Tee’s market price (Update: 3 March 25, Tee has been tagged again)

Just saw that for 2025 his base salary is $18 million but his cap hit is $31 million!
Someone please explain if that would be the hit for the Bengals if they got him.  Either way I guess they could restructure.

Cap hit is base+ signing bonus + prorated bonus(if thier is one). Dk has a base of 18 but a bonus of 13 = 31.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

How about DK Metcalf for Tee?  I think we could get him for $ 26 million.  $18-Mi base and $8-M signing bonus.  Less $$ than Tee and a better, stronger WR IMO.

I dont see Seattle doing a Higgins for Metcalf trade.  First reason is Seattle takes a 21 million dollar cap hit by trading Metcalf.  They would then need to turn around and pay Higgins somewhere close to 30 million.  It would cost Seattle too much to make that trade.  Tee would also need to sign the franchise and want to go to Seattle.  I think it is unrealistic.

"Welcome Al Golden, we had a shitty defense and we made it even worse for you by getting rid of the only legitimately good player on it!"

Because with our current FAs and removing Hendrickson, we would have only 7 sacks left on our team from 2024.

That means you would need to add 29 sacks this offseason just to get us back to our 2024 t-25th place. Good luck with that.

Besides, even if we did already have a good defense, you still don't let a 1st Team All-Pro sack leader leave so you can overpay your oft-injured never-even-a-Pro-Bowler WR2 roughly the same amount of money.

It's because you are of such profound wisdom, Frank Booth. - SunsetBengal
