Every player (especially defensive) needs a full evaluation this off-season. Leave it up to the staff on if they want to bring them back or not.

We know that the Bengals are historically dead set against pushing money into the future, I'd be very surprised to see anything like that happen.
I think that some of those cuts are very necessary (Rankins, Hubbard, Volson, Moss, Burton), and when you look at the cost of improving over what we have on guys like Stone, Pratt, Sample, etc., I think that we're more likely to see them remain than not.
I think that is fair. And I am in agreement.
What we can do and what we will do are two different things. But the idea that we CANNOT pay Tee is just patently absurd. Of course we can. That is where I am coming from. What we can/should do.
I fully expect the FO to crap the bed, like they did last year and the year before. They are dinosaurs when it comes to contract structures/restructures.
You know who isn't? KC and Philly. 5 of the last 6 SB teams.

So he is very much a system specific player. If Golden’s defense envisions a safety that attacks Stone will be okay otherwise you need more of a true cover safety.
That is true, I do think Golden will be more aggressive than Lou that is for sure. Maybe Stone fits what Al wants to run, I don't know.

Hope it is immensely upgraded. If so, we are in a great place as long as we have a good FA hitting on the trenches and a decent Draft.

I also don't know. Scheme fit is a big thing.

The talk has all been positive so far, but who wouldn't say all the right things that we want to hear? Things like "We want to be really, really good at tackling", "We need to focus on developing our in house talent and getting them on the field", "We're going to play the best man, regardless of who gets paid more". (good luck sliding that last one past MB while he's still breathing)
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations
