1 more reason Bengals fan should watch Super Bowl
#1
KC and the Eagles are loaded with free agents. Both have a very good right guard. Smith for KC and Becton for Eagles. Both going against stout DL. Both teams also have several defensive line free agents. Eagles have DE Sweat and DT Milton Williams.

Eagles have RB Gainwell and Chiefs have Hunt who continues to shine in playoffs. Chiefs also have WR Marquis Brown. Chiefs have LB Bolton and Eagles have LB Braun

These are all potential Bengals who can show how they perform in the biggest game of the year.

So grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the game.

Can’t really muster up any excitement for the game this year. Really don’t like either team.
I would love to see them sign one of the FA guards playing tomorrow but I think the price will be too high for the Bengals.

If Sweat is not too much $ he could be a good fit.

Over 1/3 of America will be watching the superbowl. I find it odd that someone who spends as much time as you on a message board would not tune in. Please report back tomorrow and let me know if you actually didn’t watch it, or if you are just venting at not having a rooting interest.

Assume that this is a protest against Chiefs and Eagles.  While that is certainly your right, I never really understood protest votes.  Or abstentions.  No matter how odious the choice, I will not forfeit my right to choose.

In this case, I will choose to despise the Chiefs more than merely dislike the Eagles.  While the level of loathing I feel toward Pittsburgh isn't there, I look at KC in a similar way -- grudging respect, and, I will admit, jealousy.  It also doesn't help that every time I turn on a game Mahomes is trying to sell me insurance.

I'm not going to watch it either. Even if I didn't have a boatload of things to do at that time I wouldn't be super interested in watching. I don't think I've watched the Super Bowl since the Bengals were in it lol.

The NFL has ruined what was once a great presentation. The halftime weirdo freak show circus is nauseating. I'd rather watch 3 hours of Tom Homan do his job elsewhere, much more entertaining and effective.

This is a weirdly obnoxious response to somebody saying they wont watch the super bowl lol

Pass. I cannot stand to see Mahomes win a third in a row and if Hurts wins he's the first QB from Burrow's draft class to win it. Aside from this fan-petty way of mine, I don't watch a ton of games unrelated to my favorite teams in most sports.

I have far more excitement scheduled today to make me want to watch two teams I don't give a hoot about. I'll be attempting to fix my leaky toilet instead unless the halftime show will be about how to repair an obnoxious leaky toilet presentation..  Cool

That also means about  2/3 won't, so it seems weird to imply that it's unusual to not watch it.  Regardless, that number definitely will include me.  And I don't need to wait until tomorrow to "report back."  I didn't watch SBs 57 or 58, either, so missing this one will be no sacrifice.  The last one I watched was the one we were in.  In fact, I've skipped a few others over the years too, like Harbaugh vs Harbaugh, for example.

Besides, it's the golden age of tv streaming, so there are a million other distractions I can turn to.

Harbaugh vs Harbaugh shows how rigged this league is lol

I knew some fans do not watch Super Bowl but had no idea how many.

There are some very good FAs to watch. FYI as we need 2 guards if (and hopefully when) we cut Cappa, one is very expensive (Smith) at close to 20 million a year and one is a lot more reasonable (Becton projected closer to 10 million a year) due to this was first year he played guard in the NFL.

If it's a Chargers/Ravens AFCCG next year we'll know for sure that the fix is in LOL

We have a boatload of cash to spend on free agents, so I'll be looking at the guards and defensive line because, if we upgrade both of those positions, we're in a great position to make a big run next season.

Hunt would also be a nice add to pair with Chase Brown and could be looking for more runs at the Super Bowl in (likely) his last contract since he'll be 30 at the start of next season.

People keep asking me who I'm rooting for and my response has always been "I'm rooting for a meteor to hit the stadium."

A tie game is also an acceptable outcome if you want to be a bit more compassionate.  Hilarious

I really just want to see a good game where there is not a weird call in the last 2 minutes of the game. See L Wilson Def Holding 3 years ago and eagles DPI/Holding 2 years ago. Both plays extended drives that led to points. It was almost the exact same down/distance, time on the clock.

For those that have “other streaming devices”, sure you can find a movie like triple frontier, but that will be there tomorrow.

You can have zero rooting interest, like myself, but still enjoy a good game.

I’m guessing a lot of people on here missed saquan Barkleys incredible performance in the NFCcG. It was special.
