We lost to KC by one point with a failed PAT attempt, and all that is with a bad offensive line and bad defense.
I don't see how you can look at our team and not assume that we're the new big boys on the block.
I'm not ready to say we're the new big boys on the block until I see what they do with the defense. I am, however, ready to say it's not the Cheatin' Chiefs anymore. Even if Reid comes back for one more year like he said, Kelce is a shell of himself, a dried-up corpse that had all the blood sucked out of him by that Black Widow spider. As I said before, I think they ref favoritism is over as well, there is too much heat on them now. Hopefully it's us, but it could be the Ravens or the Bills.

No way Eagles lose to the Ravens in a nuetral superbowl site.
Yep, was surprised by that post. The Eagles were the best team in the NFL this year, maybe the Lions would of gave them some more
trouble if not for the injuries, but that was about the closest team. The Commanders gave them a little trouble with Jayden Daniels etc.
We gave them trouble for 3 quarters before the wheels came off. If we get a decent Defense and improve the OL we can play with them
but there is a lot of work to do. The AFC isn't as stacked as it was even last year. Our Division is good though and that is where we will
have to start making our hay this season. Sweeping the Stains and splitting with the stealers was a start this year.
Need to start splitting with the Ratbirds at the very least and we should be more than okay if the right moves are made.

I think it might be a mistake by Andy to come back this year. We will see, he is still a damn good HC but that team might be on the verge of
just being average now without the ref help and Kelce being a shell of his former self. Chris Jones is still a great player and Spags is a good DC
so they will still have a good Defense if these guys are still around. Trent McDuffie is damn good too etc.
The Chargers and especially the Broncos seem like they are on the up and up in that Division, about damn time.

Chiefs not so much. But that team that just whooped their arse, that is the kind of team they need to figure out how to beat as they have an elite defense, elite running back, and a top level quarterback who can beat you with legs and the arm.

I get you, but I did say that we need to improve the defense, and my reasoning for that being the case is Burrow can outscore other teams with an average line and a below average defense.
I think we just need to improve the interior of the offensive and defensive lines and maybe get a run stuffing backer because then we can force teams into throwing the ball to play catch up while we can score at will and run the ball to control the clock (I'm big on Chase Brown, and Moss isn't bad for a one-two punch).
I agree about the favoritism being over because they're going to lose lot of viewers and ratings are going to drop if they keep making calls like calling a personal foul on the defense when Mahomes didn't get touched and the defenders actually went helmet-to-helmet on each other.

Bengals basically beat them early in the season but phantom calls won KC the game. I think the Bengals can overtake KC next year.

Brad isn't so wrong. Imagine if McPherson didn't have his head up his ass this last season! Even with our crappy D and he makes his kicks, we beat Baltimore, Pittsburgh, SD and KC...Not saying it's going to happen, but it very well could.

You guys we’re getting hot towards the end of the year. I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to play the Bengals if they got in the playoffs. I’m sure Buffalo was happy they played Denver instead. I think it’s possible Cincinnati almost beats the Bills.

do not agree ..and "what ifs" are for fans of the losing teams..there is a very thin line in the NFL between winning and losing and until the Bengals make the changes in the trenches, linebackers etc...well...we will stay @ the "whatifs"

lol@ "new boys on the block"... KC had a bad game ..it was due ..it happens in the NFL ..plus Philly is a great team this year....this year....yeah B ...we do need to improve the defensive and offensivelines..and linebackers etc....we are numerous players away from being the "new boys" on the block..but with a decent offseason and some good moves... well .that could do wonders..
I really am surprised that people on this Board still adhere to the "Refs favor KC" nonsense..bad calls work both ways during the course of the season..You simply dont do as well as KC has done the past number of years unless you are a very good team and well coached

It's not just this board, the whole country sees it and is talking about it. The Chiefs needed ref help to get them past 7 or 8 legit wins this season. The "it happens for all teams" does not wash when it happens for the Chiefs all the freaking time. Yes, they are talented and well coached. But so are the other teams.

I didn't watch the Super Bowl as a point, but from what I've been able to glean from highlights and analysts' breakdowns, my bigger question is how do we compete with teams like the Eagles moving forward? Watching them control the trenches like they did, it was almost like they were playing in a completely different league.
Everything in this post is my fault.

It certainly looked like the refs were favoring KC in several games. Seemingly always when it was crucial to a Chiefs W.
Andy Reid drafts and makes solid moves as good if not better than any coach in the league. KC is still a nightmare venue for opposing teams. Chiefs aren't going away anytime soon.
Hate to say it, but the Ravens are due. If their OC ever learns to just give the damn ball to King Henry they can be a juggernaut. The Bills are very, very close. Lastly, the Chargers are coming! I forgot to include Denver. Yeah, they're doing stuff too!
Wtbs, we're in the conversation at best.

If the Bengals don't address FA/draft well, probably not.
But even if KC takes a step back, BUF is the likeliest candidate to take the AFC currently.
They still have their core pretty much intact with the guys they have hitting FA, and really just need a new WR to replace Cooper and maybe another CB to replace Douglas.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

Cannot disagree Packerbacker. Bills actually were tough and could of beat the Chiefs if they ran the ball with James Cook more.
The Ravens are tough in the regular season, once the Playoffs roll around they seem to be a choking team as of late.

True, just our Kicker sucking cost us multiple games as you say Wedge.

Believe we won 5 straight to close out the year. We were the hottest team if we were to get in, was just too late with our terrible Defense
costing us so many games. We kind of have the Bills number, the last 3 times we have played them it wasn't too competitive and really like
both teams. Maybe with how bad our Defense was it would of been closer this time, but oh well.

Eh, everybody knows KC had ref help, to laugh at it shows how ignorant you are.

thanks for your survey of the "whole country". but.you might be mistaken the ESPN and a couple of other news outlets for the "whole country"..they have gone 56-18 the past 5 seasons because they have a great team and coaching
