A bit unrealistic but if it happened like this, would jump for joy.
29-tyliek Williams DT OSU- get him at 29, have him drop the 30 lbs he gained to play NT, and he’s our 3-tech disruptor we’ve been BADLY missing.
46-Wyatt milum-OG- WVU- Alex cappa replacement and day one starter.
49-Donovan Jackson OSU-LG/LT- still believe he goes rd1 and potentially top 20, but insane value here. Immediately replaces volson and has a bigger rookie impact than Mims did.
61-Andrew mukuba-s-Texas- should get a lot of playing time as a rookie, even if we don’t cut.
81-OMARR NOLAN OTT-DT-TENNESSEE- insane value here and sure we now have 4 star drafted last 2 years but can never have too many pass rushers.
118 Antwan. Powell ryland-edge-Virginia tech-diversified pass rusher who lacks length and speed but makes up for it with smarts and diversified pas rush moves.
154. LB-jack Kiser-ND. Our German Pratt replacement. Pass defense specialist, especially in zone.
195. Over Cody Simon OSU-sure claim osu bias, and didn’t mean to take 2lbers, but the value is there, and he’s a natural born leader. Also think he ends up becoming the starter. Excellent blitzer and instinctual player.

Why would you draft the best NT in the draft class first round then tell him to lose ALOT of weight and play him at a different position?

Then draft a better 3 tech prospect in the 3rd.

Then have him put on 50 pounds so he can play nose tackle?

I would give this draft an A ;The only problem I would have with it is the first rd pick. Other than that this draft makes us a contender over night.
What I love- Omar Norman Lott & Andrew Mukuba. I could see both of those guys being A players for us years to come.
What I question- Not sure about drafting a NT in the first unless they are an exceptional pass rusher.

Mukuba came in at 186lbs I don't see him holding up at S in the NFL at that weight. I see him as a slot guy in the NFL.

I mean, Kiser does sound pretty German, but how do we know that Kiser is indeed German? And how do we know he would replace Pratt?

Not a lot… but enough to make a difference. He was MASSIVELY more explosive years 1 and 2 when he was more of a 3-tech role… it’s all about how nfl teams view him.

Sure let’s not get some of the most talented players in the draft bc they went to Ohio state.

I see him as Jessie Bates or Jevon Holland type Safety. Playing that deep post safety for us in AL system.

Meh 186 isn't a big deal he will likely bulk back up to 190 192 which was his playing weight. He has 40+ starts under his belt in college with a bare minimum injury history.
I'm more worried about the tackling issues with his 30inch arms although alot of it is technical (Loves to fly down hill and lead with his shoulder). What I love about Mukuba is like Bates he has the instincts and speed to threaten the run game near the LOS from the post.

If you take a NT near the end of round one he has to be able to effectively neutralize the runs up the middle and force teams to run to the outside which gives teams more opportunities to create TFLs.
Tyliek Williams has shown some of that but that OSU DL was awesome vs the run. And while Williams looked good moving at the combine his 32 inch arms are kinda meh.

Yes a NT has to do his primary job of stopping the run but you find a NT that can do that in later RDs(Jamaree Caldwell from Oregon fits that bill). Finding ones that can rush the passer = to stopping the run are hard to fine and are usually top 15 picks.
