So yeah, there is something left to lose. I don't think the Bengals will but they need to distance themselves from him ASAP. And the idea that football is somehow helping him is also wrong. If this guy is ever gonna turn it around he needs to hit rock bottom so he can decide REALLY decide to live a different kind of life from the one he has so far. And in any case, football is not his priority. ![]()

I think they might as well keep him and see if he gets his crap together. Exceptional athletes like Burrow/Chase etc aren’t going to let the drama of a third stringer affect their focus or play so I am not worried about that. I think they would be able to keep their teammates focused on what matters.
The contract situations would be bigger distractions if they are not resolved. This latest eviction seems to have been caused by someone else staying at his place while he was gone so while he has been a knucklehead so far this latest incident shouldn’t really change what they do either way. Let him come to camp and see if hes learned anything. If they don’t see improvement then tell him goodbye.

The 2nd eviction was over friends staying at his place with dogs.... Not exactly "cut" worthy. He certainly needs to mature... And I have very little expectations of him. But treat him as if he already has two strikes, and see what comes about. He either surprises and grows up, or you cut him at the first sign of strike three. |
