Spencer Steer

He could have used a few games in Louisville. Probably nothing more than extended Spring Training since he was a whopping 1 for 7 in ST with his last two at bats coming on February 27th.

Steer continuing to eat up our DH slot, despite batting 7th, is now 1-15 with a .134 OPS.

He put two balls into play today with 87.9mph and 81.8mph exit velocities with his EV down about 5mph so far this year.
He has a 9.1% hard hit ball % this year, down from his career 38.1% prior to this year.

I sure hope I am wrong and just reading too much into a small sample size but I just can't quite shake the feeling I have seen this play out before, and he's going to go on the IL after 2-4 more weeks of this.

I sure hope you're wrong and Steer takes off like a rocket fast. But my gut instinct is you're right.
