Yeah, BJ is worth 10 mil per year. He is about as solid as it gets. Wouldn't be against signing both BJ and Milton Williams who is an upgrade
over Rankins who brought nothing, but I think it will be one or the other especially with this deep DL Draft.

Sounds great to me. Washington is shopping Allen?

Yes, will be released if no trade materializes.

That's why I like my philosophy.

Each round 1-3 gets 1 extra year to develop before you force them into a heavy role to see if they sink or swim.

I'd expect a 1st rounder being a heavy contributor with solid-or-better production by Year 2, if not as a rookie.
I'd expect a 2nd rounder to do the same by Year 3.
I'd expect a 3rd rounder to do the same by their final year under rookie contract, Year 4.
Day 3 picks are pure depth, roll-the-dice, or ST guys.

But eventually you gotta give these early draft picks a chance.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

That sure would make me happy. Have always like Jonathan Allen. Dude is a great all around DT that can rush the passer and stop the run.

Trade for Allen, sign Josh Sweat and our Defense is better and we can hopefully as you say get an extra somewhat early pick.
