Chiefs were due for a run of bad luck.

Statement from his lawyers.

Quote:Chip Lewis and Sam Bassett wrote Saturday. "The complainant was recently asked to vacate Mr. Worthy's residence upon discovery of her infidelity. She has refused to do so and made a number of extortive efforts prior to resorting to this baseless allegation against Mr. Worthy. We will continue to cooperate with the Williamson County authorities as we have full faith that their thorough investigation will support Mr. Worthy's innocence."

Well, those are his defense attorneys. Why wouldn't they say that? Weather innocent or not, seems like Mr. Worthy is going to learn first hand why they have former players tell their stories at the rookie symposium.

Looks like they are not pursuing the charges.

Quote:Xavier Worthy was released Saturday after a district attorney in Texas declined to pursue charges against the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver following an arrest in which he had been accused of felony domestic violence.

Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick told the Austin American-Statesman his office had spoken with witnesses and was not accepting the case at this time. He also said Worthy and his lawyers were fully cooperating with the investigation.

Still, shouldn't have to choke the gal out. Mellow
