Who’s gunna qb the Steelers this year?

Seems like Rodgers best options are the Vikings or Steelers.

I’d rather go to the Vikings if I were him.

Vikings could turn to their 1st round pick from last year though.

Not a lot of options for the Steelers other than Rodgers.
Wonder who else could be in play for them.

Rodgers or Wilson look to be the two dominos to drop for Pittsburgh and NY Giants.

Their HC made Cousins and Sam Darnold look elite.

Cousins is a good qb. But that is an amazing system to go to for a QB.

The Steelers offense could be better this year, but qbs struggle there.

Do the Vikings even want him? They traded up to get the 10th overall pick last year. Can't imagine they want McCarthy to go 2 years without playing.

Its not a system thats set up for QBs to succeed in, 1000%.

Plus their OL is a disaster.

Steelers are goign to be a comedy show this year.

That’s what we’re gunna find out.

Rodgers is likely only playing for another year, maybe two.

If I were the Vikings it would be nice to have two starting caliber qbs in case of injury.

Sure hope so. Seems like every year we say this and they still are at least a .500 team, bastids. Whatever

If I were the Vikings I would avoid the headache and just spend that money on a free agent at a position of need. Having two starting caliber QBs has never ever worked out. A team declaring they have two starting QBs has been a death kiss to that team's season for as long as I can remember. Can't have two head chefs in a kitchen. That's when you start bouncing back-and-forth mid-season between starting QBs and it's just a mess.

Get one starting QB and just put all your lockerroom's and fandom's weight behind him. Can't split it.

I think it would be more entertaining as a football fan if Rodgers went to the Vikings, especially living in Packer country and with what happened with Favre.

Vikings already have another former packer in Aaron Jones.

If he’s ready and fully healthy that makes sense.

But he hasn’t done anything in the NFL and is on a rookie deal.

Signing Rodgers for one year is certainly in the realm of possibility.
The jets being a shit show is not on him. That oline and team in general was terrible before he got there.

I would normally agree with you TLL but McCarthy hasn't played a snap in a regular season game. Who knows if he is just injury
prone or a bust? Rodgers was on the cruddy Jets and any QB would of struggled there and Rodgers could help McCarthy for a year
and help him grow like Kitna did for Palmer.

Fits man. Aaron and Aaron back together again and in the NFC North lol

Let's revisit this roster in July at training camp.

This is Deja vu. I said same thing last offseason and we were awful last year. But sure let’s revisit again once draft starts.
To me the draft is a crapshoot and everyone has equal shot. Everyone adds 7 players that all the fans and coaches “feel good about”. Winning isn’t about getting better. It’s about getting better than your competition. If we improve and so does Baltimore and Pitt, are we any better off?

What makes you think CTB is a pro bowler or will even improve? Same for Murphy? Jenkins I could see. But there’s also a chance these players regress in a new scheme.

One score games don’t mean much. Most nfl games are one score when you factor in prevent D and garbage time scores.

We have more holes than last year and last years team wasn’t very good.

Every team currently has holes. Every team needs to hit on players. No team is going to hit on every pick but every other major pick/signing working out in a single season is not of the realms of possibility.

You asked for the path where the Bengals are contenders and I gave you it.

The Bengals did it 2020 when they drafted Burrow, Huggins and Logan Wilson in the same draft having signed DJ Reader and Vonn Bell in free agency.

They did it again in 2021 when they signed Hendrickson, Awuzie, Hilton and Ogunjobi in FA and drafted Chase. Under the radar was the signing of Eli Apple. They didn’t get every decision right (Jackson Carman, Tyler Shelvin) but they still got enough to turn themselves into contenders.

They need an off-season like 2020 or 2021 (they are currently a better team than in 2020). They need to nail at least two of their early picks liked they nailed Higgins and Logan Wilson. They need TJ Slaton to be DJ Reader in the run game and they need Oren Burks or another bargain basement signing to be as good as value as Eli Apple. It’s not necessarily going to be easy but as they’ve done it in the recent past it’s not out of the question that they do it again.

Let's go back to 2024

Mixon our starting RB gone
Reader our best DT gone

So far in 2025, we have lost a backup LB (but added a less expensive backup LB saving about 3 million in cap space

Did you really make predictions less than 8 hours into free agency tampering period? If so, it appears you just make predictions on Bengals past performance and ignore the adds and drops.

Ravens right now have lost a starting LB and a starting RT/G and have not replaced either. Are they doomd based on day 1 or is it just the Bengals?

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Last off season was a complete failure, are you sure you want to use that as our benchmark?

Yeah i put more faith in the Ravens front office. I put more faith is almost all the NFL front offices outside of maybe 8-10 teams.

That allows the Bengals to go into the draft.
They will focus on getting another DT early to pair next to Hill with Jenkins and Jackson backing them up.
They will also look to get another Guard to compete with Volson and Ford for LG duties.
They'll also draft a DE early to compete with Ossai and Murphy for starting DE duties opposite Hendrickson.

Neither Hendrickson, Chase, nor Higgins will get a new deal nor be traded until August (new deal) or October (traded).

Got two of these right so far, third guy got taken for a very affordable $8 mill APY, but the Guard market is shaping up nicely for Bengals to get someone around $7-10 mill APY.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
