Next 40 hours some teams will scramble to get under the cap.
#1
There are some teams that will need to restructure or cut players to create cap space not only at 4 p.m. tomorrow, but if they want to sign a new FA as well. We have seen some cuts of very good players aready. Will there be more?

The following teams are tight or over the cap with worst being KC with only a roster of 51 players and way over the cap which does not include the Bolten 3 year 45 million dollar deal.

KC
Eagles
Saints
Bills
Falcons
Texans
Browns - yes the Browns who have gained no one in FA yet and are cash cap poor.

I will keep this thread for a list of all cuts versus doing them in threads one by one.

Allen
- signed with Vikes
Garrett - Signed with Bears
Cappa - signed with Raiders
Rankins - Signed with Texans
 Aaron Rodgers
Adams - signed with Rams
Cupp - if not traded by deadline
Juszczyk
Floyd - DE/Edge
Sanders - RB
Bosa = DE/Edge

Feel free to add to the list of potential Bengals cut free agents

It would sure help our position to gobble some of these cuts up if we restructured Joe, and got Tee/Chase signed.

Don't you think Burrow would have already restructured before free agency?

He already said he would restructure. Why would he change his mind?

So new cuts

Restructuring isn't A big deal for palyers. All it does is convert base salary into a bonus thus lowering the cap. Its a win win for the player.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Joe doesn't need to restructure. Look at our cap space. It's fine.

We can do whatever we want still.

I 100% agree, but a Joe restructure puts us in better cap position now. If we do not use it in 2025, it just rolls over to 2026 so no harm done.

I think Joe will restructure in 2025 after we sign Chase long term. My guess is at a minimum he wants to be assured Chase is with him for the next 5 or 6 years.

I can imagine the conversation between Burrow and the management has already taken place. They might have a plan of "ok, just shoot me a message when you get JaMarr's deal ironed out and we can go from there".

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Same thought. Burrow can leverage control and I'm all for it.

I see Mahomes restructuring for Chiefs. The big question the Chiefs have is withing a week Kelcie is due a huge roster bonus. Will they pay him or will they cut him? I could see it goiig either way. A 3rd option would be to get him to take a pay cut, he is not worth a 17 million cap hit in 2025.

He is due 12,5 million roster bonus very soon and has a base contract of 4,5 million. Will they keep him, cut him or ask him to take a huge pay cut? They are in bad shape with cap space.
