Praying we can find a trade back like this. Trying to put together the best 53 with what we have so far.
1. Tyler Warren - Unstoppable offense sounds cool. Adding an elite talent and being able to clean up the back end of the depth chart helps. He helps if we stay pass heavy he helps if we run more.
2. Xavier Watts - Perfect pairing with his old DC. We would have an exciting group of young DBs. Watts or Emmanwori feels like a need. Wouldn't mind both.
2. Aireontae Ersey - Going with the Big Ten offensive linemen of the year. And going to see what the 6'6" 330lbs big man can do at LG.
3. Tate Ratledge - Sometimes a giant maniac with a mullet is a good thing. One of those times is usually when they are protecting your QB. I like the idea of putting Ratledge and Mims back together with the potential bonus of familiarity helping the OL gel quicker.
3. Cameron Skattebo - Need to add talent at RB here, lot of good options. Love Chase. Like Perine. But we need a third. I'd take Moss back. But a neck injury and RB isn't a good mix. Skattebo could be special. Brain Leonard on steroids.
5. Jeffrey Bassa - Hopefully we keep Pratt and then Wilson and Pratt can get back to being a top tandem. Bassa is insurance. I'd like to add at least one new rookie who has a decent ceiling to the LB room.
6. Jalen Travis - Massive 6'8" 339lbs OL who was blocking for Princeton when Iosivas was there balling out so I'm sure he was on the Bengals radar. I know they love the Ivy league stories. Looks like a rare mover for his size. Wouldn't mind gambling on his traits late. High character and transferred to Iowa State and started at LT. I like the UC tackle John Williams as a late round OL option as well.
Offense = 25

Hopefully the savings from moving on from Stone and Moss can go to making Hendrickson happy. Pratt is still here and hopefully stays. We can put the finishing touches on building an offensive juggernaut. I know everyone wants a DT. But we could easily not draft one. We took two last year and two of our biggest FA moves were DTs. I want those 4 playing all the snaps, if everybody stays healthy an early round pick would be a waste. At DE Ossai, Murphy, Sample, and Johnson may get a chance to shine with Hubbard no longer in the way. Walker adds a fastball/curveball to our arsenal.
Our offense takes another step forward. And our defense gets new life with a new DC and new scheme and many young guys who were earlier round draft picks coming back with another year of experience under their belt.

I think this would be a dangerous team.
Nice hard work, but no way a TE with 1st pick, we did not sign MG to a 3 year contract to draft a TE in 1st round to sit on bench part time especially since we know TEs as a whole are not going to get the ball much outside of MG and even more important at least 3 other positions we need in 1st round over TE,

Gesicki only played 46% of the offensive snaps last year. He's a package move TE, not a full time player. Warren would be the without a doubt TE1 in that room.

Nope, first Gesicki is TE1 , he really sealed the deal last two games in snap count and targets plus Burrow endorsement with 3 yr contract, second offense not built around TE in passing game for two, and finally and most important we need to improve now in other areas, Gesiicki was signed so to help us not need a TE 1st round, not saying draft sites are the bible, but i have not found a TE projected to us out of the many ive looked at for a good reason.

Eh, maybe. The way Gesicki's deal is written, the team could cut after 2025 with only $4.3 dead cap. Meaning if they had a guy like Warren or Loveland fall into their lap, the could justify using the high pick.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Gesicki 's snap count has gone up and down based on matchups. For example, he played 70% and 62% of the snaps in Weeks 10 and 11, then only played 43%, 28%, 31%, and 33% in the four weeks after. He's not a good enough inline blocker to be a true every down TE1. He's closer to a slot WR3.
Secondly, the Bengals have talked to Warren, a long with Loveland, Taylor, and Helm. They seem quite interested in adding to that group.

The way I see it are we really going to eat up three roster spots for Hudson, Grandy, and Mclachlan? Or would it be better to upgrade that spot and take the best player at that position in the draft and open up a roster spot or two to give ourselves an opportunity to add talent at other positions.

Not in 2025 and he is a Burrow resign, waste of 1st rpund pic this year if we go TE but i think 10% or less chance

It qould be to upgrade where we are weak, 10% vhance FO is thinking this way,

Fair enough, I'm just saying that if the Bengals drafted a guy like Warren and could run a legit 12 Offense, there is an out for them from Gesicki after this season plays out.
On another note, the Bengals in a 12 Offense would definitely be a force to reckon with, both running and passing.

Take a look at OL and DL depth chart. Tell me which one has more room to add multiple draft picks?

well DL actually has more depth at DT, but i feel OT depth is ok and so Center depth is fine, that leaves Guards and DE, so i just don;t think 3 of our 7 picks will be Oline.. and just 1 DL.

They require the same number of picks to fill the depth chart. DL needs a DT5 and OL needs a T4.
You can argue that OL needs two upgrades at starting positions vs one for DL(though some would argue LDE, NT, and UT all need upgraded vs RG and LG), but the counterargument is that it's less likely to get an OL that represents an immediate, significant upgrade vs a DL due to the quality of the prospects in each group. And years from now, you'll be kicking yourself when you passed on the next Carlos Dunlap for the next Jackson Carman chasing an upgrade.

hmm what about passing on Shaq Thompson for the next Cedric Ogbuehi chasing an upgrade.. either way you go, need to be mindful of the chase pick

Love the players, getting Tyler Warren would help our Offense be so much less predictable as he can play multiple positions, block and catch.
Watts fits like a glove next to Battle. Nothing against this OT, good player but I think we should look for a DL here with this class. Could get a
steal in the 3rd. I like the Ratledge pick a lot and think he can be an upgrade at Guard immediately. Skattebo is probably my favorite RB in this
class in the mid rounds, great pick. I like the Walker and Bassa picks and Travis is a good one to add for a possible diamond in the rough.
Overall, I love the players, just think we need to add more DL earlier to get someone special in a rare class with great DL talent.
