If they're going back to all the old acquisitions of Activision this has the potential to be huge.  

We never owned an Atari so I got my start on the Apple IIe, PC, and NES.  The only thing on this list that jumps out to me is Caesar II...but i don't even remember that game being all that good.

yeah i believe these are all Activision published....   The Atari 50th anniversary collection  is also pretty enjoyable (if you like playing around with the old school games)


This Retro Classics i believe is part of AntStream... Which has somewhere over 1500 titles  (i dont own so not sure if they are any good or whats available there)

No issue picking up a Switch 2 from Target sans pre-order. Made me happy on two levels. First because scalpers can go suck a fat one. Second that I can pause Elden Ring for a little bit. Great game, but benefits from having some time away every once in a while to recharge the desire for exploration.

lol i'm so unplugged.  I thought the pre order hype was to pickup switch 2s around christmas time.  I didn't realize it was already out.

A youtube gamer news fellow I watch "MrMattyPlays", had a video specifically about this, and that he was still buying it day 1 because of the large number of nearly unplayable over engineered game for the original switch that he considered unplayable or not enjoyable because the lag or clipping or low framerates destroyed the experience for him.  So he got one not for it's launch titles, which are limited to non-existent, but for his OG Switch back catalogue he couldn't play before.

That's a fair point. I actually ended up getting Doom Eternal on PS5 because the Switch version was not enjoyable. 

Nintendo gets away with a lot of stuff, but two generations in a row now the launch catalog has been underwhelming at best. Thankfully Breath of the Wild is in the GOAT conversation. While Mario Kart World is solid (really tough to follow up 8's 11 year run) the system really could have used a solid single player first party game at launch as well. Hopefully Donkey Kong is up to snuff next month.

Haven't posted in a couple years, but been on a retro game mood. Since the start of the year have beaten dkc 1 and 2, the entirety of smb all stars snes. Currently playing phantasy star 4. Bought a switch 2 and have played some Mario kart. Loaded up botw and totk to see the improvements, and theyre pretty nice. Graphics aside, just them being a consistent 60 fps will be great. 2nd half of the year will likely be a zelda franchise run.

I love the phantasy star series. Got really into pso and psu. I even play on each on private servers that have been put up.

I put 250 hours into each Zelda by motion settings on my TV or projector. Even at low setting the interpolation was giving me what felt like 60FPS.
