Synric's Mock Me (Trade 2025)
#1
It would surprise me if the Bengals don't make a trade back to collect extra picks.. Bengals don't make alot of 1st round trades but they are known for trading back in the 2nd round.

Bengals trade pick #49(2nd) to the Buffalo Bills for picks #56(2nd), #109(4th), #173(5th, Comp).

Round 1, pick #17:
Derrick Harmon DT Oregon - Height: 6'4.4, Weight: 313, Arm: 34 3/8, Hand: 10 3/8, Wingspan: 83 3/4
[Image: jmiiw9aruur3gkyt2udk.avif]

Harmon was the best DT in college football in 2024. Length, Technique, Alignment versatility its easy to see the solid floor.

TRADE: Round 2, pick #56:
Tate Ratledge OG Georgia - Height: 6'6.4, Weight: 308, Arm: 32 1/4, Hand: 10 3/8, Wingspan: 79 1/4
[Image: tate-ratledge-1.jpg]

Reliability is the keyword when talking about Tate Ratledge. Pure Right Guard that would be an easy day one starter and allows Mims and Ratledge to continue working on their chemistry.

Round 3, pick #81
Bradyn Swinson LB LSU - Height: 6'3.5, Weight: 255, Arm: 33 3/8 , Hand: 9 7/8, Wingspan: 81 1/4
[Image: images%2FvoltaxMediaLibrary%2Fmmsport%2F...066gtz.jpg]

Swinson is one of the top pass rushers in this class. 2024 was his only year as a starter but showed a bag of pass rush moves and the natural ability to rush the passer. He slides here because he played lighter than his 255 weigh-in and didn't show the same natural instincts as a run defender which could limit his snaps to a DPR.

TRADE: Round 4, pick #109
Mitchell Evans TE Notre Dame - Height: 6'5.3, Weight: 258, Arm: 31 7/8, Hand:9 1/2, Wingspan: 77
[Image: 80118959007-44-95517.jpeg]

Evans is one of the few TE's in this draft you feel comfortable In-Line as the Y full time. He also gives the team versatility a move blocking H-back with reliable underneath receiving ability.

Round 4, pick #119
Hollin Pierce OT Rutgers - Height: 6'8.3, Weight: 341, Arm: 36, Hand: 9 7/8, Wingspan: 88 1/4
[Image: TRT-L-RutgersPierceFB-0924-01.jpg]
Pierce fits the athletic massive tackles the Bengals are targeting for their pass heavy gap/inside zone offense.

Round 5, pick #153
Tyler Baron DE Miami - Height: 6'4.5, Weight: 258, Arm: 33 1/8, Hand: 10, Wingspan: 80 1/4
[Image: tyler-baron-vt-scaled.jpg]

Tyler Baron is a poster child for inconsistent. He is a solid pass rusher with decent hands but he doesn't attack with power as much as he should. He sets a solid edge as a run defender but can give up some ground to bigger more physical tackles.

TRADE: Round 5, pick #173
Collin Oliver LB Oklahoma State - Height: 6'1.6, Weight: 240, Arm: 30 3/4, Hand: 9 1/2, Wingspan: 76 1/8
[Image: images%2FImagnImages%2Fmmsport%2Fall_pok...1jhp84.jpg]

One of the better pass rushers in this class you haven't heard of. Oliver was BigXII Freshman of the Year in 2021 with 11.5 sacks & All-BigXII Second Team 2023 with 15.5 TFLs, 6 Sacks, and 5 PDs. Because of his size Oliver moved to more of a hybrid Off-Ball LB/Pass Rusher in 2023. You could tell it was his first time reading his keys from depth but his ability to blitz from different alignments will still be valuable as he develops.

Round 6, pick #193
Kalel Mullings RB Michigan - Height: 6'1.4, Weight: 226, Arm: 31 3/4, Hand: 10, Wingspan: 78
[Image: images%2FImagnImages%2Fmmsport%2Fwolveri...ys2qhm.jpg]

Converted LB Mullings plays like he's filling run lanes on defense. He is still new to the position in alot of areas (protection, routes) but his size athleticism and ability to push the pile as a big back would be a welcome addition to the Bengals RB room.

I could live with that draft. I would have preferred a more complete DE, especially in the 3rd round. Otherwise good value on the trade back and additional picks.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I would be very disappointed with our 1st pick. Good player but I think there are better. He was pretty nonexistent in the Rose bowl.

There are some fine favorites in this mock, and I'd be happy with it. If I were able to make a trade, it would be with Chicago.

#17 for 39 and 41

I have a feeling that after solidifying the OL through free agency, the Bears are likely looking to stock their roster with as much top 100 talent as possible. They have a legit shot at being this year's team of big improvement, similar to the Commanders this past year. Getting them to make a trade might be a hard sell.

I wanted to lean into the pass rush considering they do have Ossai, Murphy, and Sample to play early downs. Swinson plays with good power and length as a rusher but he was probably played closer to 240 which makes it difficult to hold an edge.

I also like Tyler Baron as a good dart throw mid day 3. He has the measurables and has flashed for a couple of years on both Miami and Tennessee. If he works on his base in run defense he's a guy that can see snaps.

Harmon had like 3 pressures and 2 TFL in the Rose Bowl.

I picked Buffalo because they have Two 2nd round picks and seven day 3 picks. I can definitely see them making a move on day 2 either moving up in the second or moving pick #109 into the 3rd round because they don't have a 3rd round pick.

The Bills could be a team that wants to make that big jump to #17 from #30 if they consider the player worth it. I would guess if Michigan's Will Johnson is there they may consider it.

Pretty solid mock, overall. Not personally the biggest Harmon fan, but depending on how things fall, he might be the best DL available at 17.

I have it down to Shemar Stewart, Walter Nolen, and Derrick Harmon as picks at #17. If they can trade back into the 20s that puts Mykel Williams on the board.
