Worst Case Scenario being we don't trade back, make no moves, and just take what falls to us at our six picks.
17. Booker turns 21 tomorrow. He was built to play guard. He seems like one of the safest picks in the draft to me. We are paying huge money to our offensive stars, I think it would be smart to protect our investment. Adding a monster blue chip G who might end up being a 10 year fixture sounds like a good choice.
49. Watts was the winner of the Bronko Nagurski as college footballs best defensive player in 23 and if we reunite him with his college DC I think he has the most potential of any safety in this draft to hit the ground running and help us out immediately this year and into the future.
81. Oladejo made an in season position switch from LB to DE in his final college season. Our boy Hubbard did some position switching before settling in at DE. Oladejo looks like he is just scratching the surface as a pass rusher.
119. Robinson being our 5th DT sounds insane to me. DT will become a major strength this year. I wouldn't mind seeing him be a designated passing down DT. Between him and Oladejo I think our pass rush would be adding some much needed juice.
153. Gordon was the Doak Walker award winner in 23 as college footballs best RB. True junior. Turned 21 this year. If given the opportunity I think he has the potential to be a big time bell cow back. Pairing him with Chase would make me feel a whole lot better about our RB depth.
193. Travis is enormous. Not happy to be looking for our swing tackle this late but I think we have to bring in competition for the spot. There are a lot of giant OL with intriguing rare physical tools who are loaded with potential that could be available late in this draft. One of them is going to slide. Maybe Travis could pull a Mekhi Becton and play RG with his giant ass.
