THE DRAFT

Pressure can lead to sacks for other players or bad throws to create interceptions.

The Ravens drafted a DE that was very athletic with few sacks in college and he's producing in the pros. I think some of Stewart's issue was scheme.

I'm fairly confident he won't be a bust. He may not get 12 sacks a year either, but I think he'll produce.

So that was your plan all along: raise funds for the server, then shut down the site and take all our money!

He was being played out of position and moved a lot but making him a full-time edge rusher is the way to make sure we get the most out of him.

I'm actually pretty excited about this the more I think about it.

That's actually a more depressing comparison than people TRYING to be negative, Pistons. Lol

It took Oweh 4 years to break 5 sacks in a season. He was a slightly better Joseph Ossai his first 3 years. We *need* significantly better results than that, and this year not 3 years from now.

If he's as disruptive as Los was early in his career (the OG 'almost sack' leader), at least we have someone much better on the other side to finish things off.

If Srewart got 5/6 sacks as a rookie, I'd be happy.

In addition to getting an MBA/MHA from Xavier I also obtained an Masters in Public Health from  the Chan School of Public Health ( Harvard) and I doubt very seriously that your educational background  can match that..We hospital administrators also cuss and do many of the normal things that most people do. Now why dont you stick to discussions and topics rather that attacking and critiquing  others on their grammar and spelling ..Thank you

Degrees do not prove you to be smarter than anyone else, but I will not go into that as this is not meant as an attack.

Listing off degrees to try and belittle someone is a poor look, and a worse one on a sports message board where anyone can make up anything.

Since 2021, Oweh has 23 sacks. Other than Hendrickson (57 sacks), no one has more than 22 (Hubbard), annd only 3 have had double digits (BJ hill included with Trey and Sam..

It’s a low bar, but getting 5-6 sacks a season would actually represent an upgrade over what we have had recently. This all changes if/when Hendrickson leaves.

It's always interesting to me when injuries are used as an excuse for poor seasons.

Last year, Burrow was healthy all season and played at an mvp level. Yep 9-8. We literally did things never seen in the NFL. When the offense is that good, you make the playoffs. Yet the defense was worse than the offense was good.

If anything, on defense the injuries kind of helped us in that they forced the coaches to play other players.

And every team has injuries.

Last year, we found ways to lose. 1 game against the Ravens we were rolling them and Chase Brown fumbled and the Ravens dominated us the rest of the way. Some games it was a missed fg. Some games the defense was terrible. Some games it was a key fumble. Against NE it was the offense that didn't show up.

We're not some elite team. We're a mediocre team with a hof qb and wr...and we can't even make the playoffs with that. We find ways to lose. Then, when it's near impossible to make the playoffs and the pressure is off...we beat some bad teams.
