Jalen Ramsey/Dolphins Trade?
#1
Hello, fellow Board Brothers.

What do we think about the (burgeoning?) Dolphins trade involving Jalen Ramsey at cornerback? He still has some time (and money) left on his current contract, but they appear to be talking. And granted, he's no spring chicken, but he probably has some mileage left on him. Also, 6x Pro Bowler. Gotta say somethin'.

Let me know yer thoughts. Thanks! Cool

If the Bengals trade for a big trade I'd rather it be a DT or FS. I believe in our CBs as of now.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Might be worth getting him into PBS for a day just so AJ Green can kick his butt again.... Hilarious Hilarious

If we trade, I'd rather it be for a dominant interior d lineman. The only one that may be available is Jeffrey Simmons from Tenn. I wanted Chris Jones when he was going through contract talks with the Chiefs but they are a smart organization and know where to spend their money.
Quinnen Williams would be my choice but appears they are in win now mode.

That contract is way too much for him at that age. He's really fallen off a bit, especially when attempting to cover teams' best receivers.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I guess I wouldn't hate adding Ramsey even if he has always been a bit of an asshole. Good Corners are valuable, and I was really disappointed
by CTB last season. I do like DJ Turner and especially Dax Hill, but we don't know who will be replacing Mike Hilton, my guess is still Dax once he
is healthy even if that is where Fig Newton has been playing right now.

Isn’t Ramsey like 50 years old? Really feels like he’s been in the league for 30 years

Nope - he’s old and expensive but mostly no because he triggers a horrible memory.
Ramsey was on the ground and Chase was wide open on the last play of the SB…

I think we could get Gilmore for less than 7 million a year, he is older but still playing very well.

I would rather we focus on Trey's extension and also a FA guard.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

If we sign a CB it should be Asante Samuel JR!

Spain should be the one who triggers that horrible memory. Ramsey did his part lol

I think Gilmore is older than Ramsey, but yeah, he played good last season and should be cheap. Don't know why Ramsey is so
expensive if he is old either. But I agree, would rather get Trey extended and add Risner, Scherff or Hernandez when he is healthy.

I'm hearing a little buzz about Asnante Samuel Jr also, as well as Hernandez and Scherff. There still appears to be room (financially) to add more weapons and still hopefully take care of Trey, but I don't always depend on Mikey doing things that always make sense with the buckage.

Good points, all. Thank you for chiming in!

I think the money would be too great for what the team would get in return.

Much rather see that tossed towards extending Trey to keep him in stripes.

Hope this season, the secondary will look better due to an improved pass rush.

Fair idea to toss out there though.
