Could the NFL Draft be Cincinnati bound in the near future?
That's what local leaders are pushing for behind the scenes according to Steve Watkins of the Cincinnati Business Courier.
Cincinnati is "making a concerted push to host the NFL Draft in the next few years,” Watkins wrote.
The Bengals and Visit Cincy have expressed interest in hosting the draft as early as 2027. Potential dates were reportedly pushed back due to hotel availability near the convention center. The group is waiting on the NFL to give Cincinnati the go-ahead to submit a formal request for the draft.

I would love us to hos, but I think are chances are slim. NFL does not love Cincinnati, we are the bastard child.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

The nfl wont do this for awhile IMO, too many other teams will beat us to it. The NFL really kicks us to the curb alot of times. 26-27 are already in the books. Pit/Wash are up next. If your asking me I think these teams have a better shot than us:
1) LA
2) Baltimore
3) Atlanta
4) Indianapolis
5) Boston
-Buffalo, Minnesota, Denver, Miami, and Seattle are ahead of us too IMO.

I doubt it happens unless we win a Super Bowl before that and the area blows up with all kinds of new businesses and bars and hotels.
The Cincinnati Airport, which is actually in Northern Kentucky because they wish they were us, is a large airport, so it could handle lots of flights coming in and whatever.
The zoo is also nationally ranked, and we did open the casino, so that could help.
There's also like two billion in renovations and upgrades happening downtown and at The Banks, so I guess it's possible.

What the hell are you talking about? None of the above makes sense.
The last draft was in Green Bay WI, population 105,000 ppl

It all makes sense.
Green Bay also has, shockingly, a lot of tourism.

I love you telling everyone that the Cincy Airport is actually in NKY; like you've uncovered sort of magical anomaly.
Oh, and GB Airport handles around 700K passengers per year. CVG handles over 9 million.
But yeah, the airport is a big factor in where the draft is, LOL

I only point it out when it's relevant, like when we're talking about Cinci being able to host the Super Bowl.
So, yeah, it is a factor, lol

The NFL said a few years ago that Cincinnati would get one, but they had Las Vegas, Cleveland, Green Bay already set. The Southern and West Coast teams get the Super Bowl or Dome Stadium cities, except for New York one year and the NFL got lucky it wasn't below zero in February. The Northern cities without Domes should get the NFL Draft since they can't get a Super Bowl.
Cincinnati and Covington would be great. However if Bengals front office keeps complaining about their stadium and threatening a move to maybe St Louis, then Cincinnati will be taken off NFL list for The Draft. It would be Big Business for Cincinnati and Covington area Hotels and Restaurants to have NFL Draft Week and Weekend.

We’re talking about cincy hosting draft. Not the Super Bowl.
A city with 1/10th the population and with 1/15th the airline passenger volume just hosted it. (Green Bay).
Boy is it hard to keep you on point.

LA Super Bowls, iMO they are low on the draft list
DC gets it 202u so proximity would push Baltimore down the list. Especially since an AFCN city gets it next year
Atlanta is viable
Indianapolis gets the combine. They won’t get the draft too
Boston…not technically an nfl city plus the draft would come on the heels of the marathon which might be tough for the city to pull off.
The others are more likely except Miami would be low due to Super Bowls
I think 2030 is the earliest possible year for us. 2028 probably goes to a western team. 2029 is predicted to be Minnesota
All hopes turn to next year

Besides the winter weather outdoor stadium the biggest obstacle to Cincinnati getting a Super Bowl was the lack of a large, luxury convention host hotel which will be solved when our new one finishes construction. The other big obstacle is practice space. The “home” team usually gets the local team’s indoor facility…oops. In this case the tent won’t cut it. The visitors usually use a local college facility. UC’s new one easily fits the bill

I would have to make the trip out to Cincy if they got the draft. I went to the one in Vegas and loved it.
