Cool thread! I had to give creating a team a try using Chat GPT. --- EDIT: NO MUNOZ?! Fail.
My prompt Create an all-time Cincinnati Bengals team using the following framework: player strengths, player impact during the era they played, single season and career statistics, and how the player would fit on an all-time team. Chat GPT's response Creating an All-Time Cincinnati Bengals Team using your framework—player strengths, impact during era, single-season and career stats, and fit on an all-time roster—requires a balanced approach of honoring both legacy and on-field performance. It depends on your definition of "greatest" and how you apply it. Is their career over, did they play the longest, did they have the best stats, who reached the highest peak, how many times did they reach that peak. Machines are fun to play with in this regard but you usually need a human brain to decipher all that. Even then it's still subjective. ![]() "Hope is not a strategy"

Bacon had 2 fantastic years here, and set the all time team record for sacks (22.5 IIRC) in the process. But Trey has to be the #1 DE. Dunlap, Bacon, or Eddie Edwards on the other side is fine. Reggie Williams was not a MLB at any point I can recall, but has to be on the team at ROLB. Pickings at LB are pretty thin. I got no problem with Burfict at MLB/OLB. The list of pro bowl Bengsl LBs is Burfict, Jim LeClair, and Bill Bergey, 1 selection apiece. All MLBs, but Burfict played outside some. I'd put LeClair in the middle, Williams & Burfict outside. Cassanova over Bates at FS. On specials, Breech over McPherson and Parrish over Pac-Man. Maybe McInally over Huber at P. On O. Trumpy over Holman at TE. I prefer Brooks to Dillon at RB. I'd cheat and put Whit at G, but Zeitler is fine. And Bob Johnson over Braham at C. And I'd still take Anderson over Burrow at this point, though not for much longer.

He takes some hits for off field crap and a (relatively) short time here, but it's tough for me to think that anyone other than the Rattler was better than Adam Jones. He was an athletic freak, worked like a dog, and was a demanding leader on-field.
Reggie Nelson might have been better than Bates when he was at his peak. I give it to Bates for his playoff performances alone, but Reggie was outstanding all year long. ![]()
