This is awful. I recall him talking about being inducted into some local hall of fame recently but had no idea he was a literal icon of the community. Praying he pulls through.

I'm not sure if the wording of this article is intentional but "is recovering" sounds promising.

According to an update from his brother, Brad is going to be in the ICU for a while, he's sedated but responsive. His list of injuries include:
1. Compound fracture of the upper arm
2. Broken bones in the lower part of the same arm.
3. Several broken ribs.
4. Multiple skull fractures but no apparent brain bleeds.
5. Collapsed lung.
6. Numerous lacerations to his face and head.
7. Road rash and bruises all over his body.

He has a chest tube for the collapsed lung and they've already had him in surgery to repair his arm.

There's no denying. This dude is a beast. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he has a long road to get back to where he was.

Thanks for the update Rfaulk. Also saw it was drinking and driving that was the culprit once again. Damn people, stay home if you are going to drink. Mellow

Or you know…use Uber or Lyft. There is just absolutely no excuse in this day and age. They should lock this piece of shit under the jail.

Broken arm, collapsed lung, “banged up head”. He’s stable and responsive. Underwent surgery to fix his arm.

Hoping for positive news.

Good to hear some positive updates (have been away from here for a week), it is insanely ironic (not in a good way) that he was hit by a drunk driver. 3rd chance, the guy should have his license suspended indefinitely/forever.

Hope to see him posting around here again soon, great resilience in him, indeed.

He is oviously lucky to be alive. TY for the update. Hope Brad progresses minute by minute and day by day. I strongly believe in prayer, take a minute and pray for Brad and his family. Let's hope we hear from him sooner than later.

It just sucks for him to have to go through this a second time because someone drives drunk. But, if anyone can handle this, it is Brad because it appears he has a strong relationship with God.

God bless Brad

Suspended license?!?! How many DWIs are you allowed in Kentucky? In Texas the 3rd offense is an automatic felony and minimum 2 years in jail…. no exceptions. I thought every state did this? Jail is where this guy belongs

No doubt and no excuses in this day and age for sure.

Crazy that is how Brad got paralyzed the first time as well but back then I don't know if they had Uber or Lyft.
