Notes From Training Camp 2025
(6 hours ago)basballguy Wrote: Never thought I’d see the day where JN users of like 20 years would get rage baited so easily by a couple of shit beat reporters.

Some of yall are no better than Reddit trolls.

I’m not saying Burton gets the benefit of the doubt but sheesh it was a couple twitter posts by known rage baiters

i think I saw the fact that Burton wasn't practicing from EVERY reporter covering practice...not just a couple. Based on his history, Burton's missing practice for an unknown reason is news.  Just like it is news that he missed practice for a previously undisclosed injury.  I'm pretty sure I had that information from 20 different people in about 30 seconds after it was announced

You simply posted a fact he was not practicing. You did not offer why or jump to he had done something wrong.

Pally answered your question, but your question raised a different one for me.

Does the practice bubble have AC? It's a bubble so more of a tent than a building so it's not like they have ductwork on the ceiling or walls, and I only see doors on the walls.....

Also-also, wasn't the bubble called temporary back in 2022 while they built a proper building? (Admittedly once they announced they were getting one, I kind of stopped paying attention to the matter. So I am not terribly informed on updates on the bubble. Lol)

We need a couple of them to step up, I think iit is weakest position group we have even worse than the OL. I am not impressed by either projected starter, I think their ceiling is good and the floor is bad.

As for OL I agree, it appeared Volson played well and has experience. Ford is not a stud, but a capable back up ST. I think Rivers needs a year or 2, but can develop into a starting guard.

I also agree I would love to see us sign a better RG and have Patrick be a backup. My concern on the OL is our ability to run block. It does not seem like we have a great run blocking backup guard, tackle or center. But, I did not watch the centers the other night other than Karras who I thought played well, maybe someone can chime in with more OL experience on how the backups to Karras did against the run and pass.

We needed better depth at S and improved starters. We did neither. PJ Jules is not gonna fix things. Anderson & Anthony have been here for a year or more, ZT should know them by now.

And I never thought I'd see the day JN posters of numerous years accuse fellow board memebers of being "easily rage baited" and >no better than Reddit Trolls" because they don not extend the benefit of the doubt to an immature player who has shown absolutely nothing he has grown up.

I'm not saying Burton doesn't have an "undisclosed injury," but sheesh, it was just some posters calling as they've seen it.

I thought they both were injured in 2024 and missed a lot of time.

That is their right to have an opinion and others have the right to call them out for jumping the gun and being wrong on an opinion as well.

One more practice in the books. Maybe a day off tomorrow to help those sore bodies mend. I think they are now switching back to morning practices also to get ready for the regular sseason practice schedule.

References I have found do say it is air-conditioned:

Quote:Once the severe weather hit, coach Zac Taylor made the call to move practice into the team's air-conditioned indoor facility, and as we all know, air-conditioned is always better than hot and sticky.

I'd think that thing would be hot and humid as heck inside without AC.

They’re just unwilling to truly go all in to help win that first championship. Imagine if they had paid Bates, extended Trey, and brought in Zeitler. They would have been one of the odds on favorites going into the season.

If they know the value then why not make the moves you suggested or equivalent moves?
Im not saying they don't know the value but I want to understand the logic. Is the value to them not worth it? Meaning whether they win it all or not the team value doesn't rise so if there value is market based and not performance based do they not see a value in applying extra funds?

Yep.

Maybe he does have a legit excuse, but in Burton's case, I totally get folks jumping to the opposite conclusion. He's earned it.

When it comes to Burton and maturity issues, NO ONE is "jumping the gun". We all have rights,

I never said fans don't have a right to offer an opinion based on past behavior, but in the end it is still an opinion and not a fact. s we quickly learned (within an hour), the opinion was wrong so jumping. the gun was proven wrong.

I just don't get why fans don't root for a player to turn it around whether on or off the field. Burton's failure hurts our team, he suceeds on and off the field he helps our team be better in 2025 and beyond.

But like yu said, we all have rights and one is to disagree when someone jumps the gun.

People can read between the lines and judge for themselves on this one. Idk maybe it really is nothing, but I have one eyebrow up for sure.

That clip just makes me curious as to what the "undisclosed injury" is.
