Hey everyone in WhoDeyVille!
I apologize for the disappearing act over the past year and a half. Lot's of things happened all at once that started with losing my mom and becoming my father's caregiver, a career change, a move (now live in Montgomery, just outside Loveland), and I got married!!!
That last point is one I never thought I would ever say again, but I met the most amazing woman (yes, I made her a Bengals fan) and I decided I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.
Regarding our beloved Bengals, I couldn't be more excited. Yes, I am as concerned as anyone with the new guards, and the depth (or lack thereof) behind them. However, I love the speedy young LBs (reminds me of what we had in 2005 and 2015) and the depth at DE. Al Golden is being asked to pull a Mike Zimmer, but I think he can do it given his history of developing young players.
Joe will most definitely not be starting slow, as he looks in mid-season form. The offense, for the most part, has been drama-free and has the coaches returning as well. I love what I am seeing from Yoshi and Charlie Jones and their offseason dedication. Taj Brooks is my X factor for the season. He isn't Chase Brown, but he is a great complement and has incredible balance and vision.
Hope this message finds you all well and excited for the season!

Yeah, that's a lot of big life changes in a relatively short period of time. Sorry about your parents, hope the new job is a good fit, and congratulations on finding the love of your life. Welcome back!

I thought this might be about Trey. So you can imagine my excitement when I learned it was you.

Did Trey leave? I thought Bengals owned his azz.

Congrats and sorry for your loss, you know your freedom. Just kidding, I am in year 50 and still can;t believe she said yes.
Bengals did not make playoffs. OL and defense killed us. Yes, both are still a question mark.

Welcome back SHRacer! I totally understand about dealing with parents. That is also on my plate now too.
Dude, when you find a good one there is nothing better. Happy for you!
Bfine is right though. I was all excited. So you need to write Mike, Troy and Katie on letterhead.

I was wondering where you went, if you died or something yah never know. Great to see you back, sorry for your loss and we missed you
around here badly SHRacerX. Happy to hear you found a good woman, not easy ha ha
Yes, I am really excited for this season as well. Of course if the OL is okay and everybody stays relatively healthy on the Offense we are going
to be one of the best, probably the best passing Offense for sure. But I loved that we added Fairchild, Patrick (even if he has not been looking
good right now) Samaje back and yes Tahj Brooks who is my guy as well no surprise to the running game. Chase Brown looked great against
the Eagles running the ball and we all saw he is extremely dangerous in the passing game and can pass protect now.
Of course the question is on the Defense with all the new coaches and the players added. Loved that we brought back BJ Hill and added Slaton
and Burks in FA. I was one of the few who loved the Shemar Stewart pick with his upside and he has been impressing big time, Demetrius Knight
should be good even as a rookie, he is pro ready with the way he takes angles and wraps up. If Logan is healthy, we could have a really good LB
core this season with the additions and letting Pratt go.
FS and some of the Corners worry me a bit but we have been playing vanilla in preseason giving soft cushions to WR's. Hard to judge. Anyways,
just happy you are back and we can have some great discussions again.
