He's been doing that.
https://vine.co/v/e2JFUjqqbFj I feel blocking/blitz pickup like that is less about body size and more about enthusiasm. No shying away from contact from him. Gio has always been better at blitz pickup, pass catching, and ball security. Hill was only better at straight rushing the ball (which admittedly for a RB is pretty darn important, lol). Now Gio's taken up the slack and is running like a beast too. I saw this on Pro Football Focus... "Giovani Bernard has run for 5 or more yards on 40 of his 77 carries. He is the only running back to have 5 or more yards on over half of his carries." Feed the man the ball and see what happens. ____________________________________________________________

Not to mention the lack of fumbling the ball twice in a game .. Hill's a good back, but putting the ball on the ground gets a guy grounded a bit.

Gio is versatile. There really isn't anymore you can ask of him.

Gio was rated the best pass protecting back in the draft the year he came out (2013). It was one of the reasons that when I heard his name read out for us my reaction was "YEAH!". I also had him projected to us in that draft.
