Browns complete second interview with Hue; expected to make him a formal offer

I'm confident in Hue...to an extent. I'm skeptical the Browns will make the most of him, though. Remember, the Raiders took a big step backwards once they canned him and they'd be in serious trouble had they not gotten a bit of a steal in Carr.

Mike Brown held on to CP to win an argument at the cost of the players who remained.  If Al Davis doesn't keel over and if Jason Campbell doesn't get hurt we don't get anything for CP.  And guess what happens to Mike Brown if he plays it tough and ends up getting nothing for Carson?

NOTHING.  Nothing happens, because he's the owner.  Say what you want about his ability to negotioate, BUT he answers to no one when he's wrong.  And he's been pretty wrong over the years.  Unless you think his "negotiation power" of refusing to give Bill Cowher any personnel control, thus landing us Dave Shula, is some sort of admirable, no-nonsense decider kind of pap.

Do you admire all the stupid crap Jerry Jones does because no one is allowed to argue with him, too?

It's possible. That's what happened with Mike Zimmer. He interviewed in places but his personality and vision didn't seem to sit well with certain teams.

Plus, Hue will probably want full control over his team. So Hue may want to build his own franchise, which is why Cleveland could make sense. 2nd pick and 32nd pick. He can build it from the ground up how he wants it.

You can't just want any head coaching job, it looks bad. You need to find the right head job. For Hue, I'd imagine that would be the Giants. Everyone wants the challenge of the Browns, but they're in such a huge disarray and they have way worse luck than Cincy does.

5. He'd get to stay in the AFCN. He's probably very comfortable in this division from his time with the Bengals and Ravens. AND BE THE LAST PLACE GUY FOR YEARS TO COME AS THERE ARE THREE OTHER GOOD TEAMS AND CLEVELAND AIN'T ONE OF THEM
6. Lower expectations. The Giants probably expect championship level football. The Browns would erect a statue of Hue if he goes 9-7.
