Vizio or LG better brand? I thought about the Vizio 60" VIZIO E60-C3 60" 1080p 120Hz Class LED Smart HDTV tv or the LG 60" LG 60LF6100 60" 1080p 120Hz Class LED Smart HDTV .... Both are in the 700 dollar range.. or if you guys and gals have a different one that you think is good throw it out here....

An under-appreciated feature of TVs are the number/variety of inputs. I have an LG and I hate the few option I have on inputs. Audio must be via optical cable, no VGA, only 2 HDMI. My Vizio has all kinds.

I have had both, and both work well. I currently have a similarly sized Vizio but it is an M series and it works great.

I have heard E serious is not the best ... i am really not a big spender and I still think 700 for a tv is outrages but i dont really want the 50 inch tv's not much of an upgrade from what i have now which is not a flat screen.. lol behind the times i guess.

The Vizios look sharp and generally have a higher refresh rate or Hz

I've got a Vizio. No complaints.
I won't buy any LG products, though. I bought two of their phones and both were to worst phone I ever owned. Their TVs may be fine, but if a company has one really crappy product, I tend to think all their products are of the crap. Like Chevy.

Give the brand "Seiki" a look.
I got a 42" 4k Ultra high def for $299.
I've had it for 6 months, without issue.
The picture is amazing.

But the price has dropped a lot. A TV like the one I paid 700 dollars for 6 years ago (on sale from 900) cost about 500 now.

I think I purchased one of the first flat screens (plasma) ever made. It was 26", had a built in DVD, the brand was Mintek, and I purchased it in 2005 for about $1300. The good news is it still works; including the DVD, the bad news is it has no inputs and only the remote that came with the TV works with it.

I like the LG LED my brother in law has, probably the best PQ I've seen in a TV. I did not hold LG to high regard before seeing that set.
How is the light control in your room? Have you thought about a projector? They don't need to be in a caveman dark room anymore. I use a projector on my open first floor.

So you have full light control. Go for this, you won't be disappointed. You can watch the Bengals go 1 and done up close and personal every year.($650).

If you really need to shave the cost, you can go down to 720p resolution for $500:

I've got both as well, and the wireless seems to work much better on the Vizio (both smart tv's) And, as bfine says, the Vizio has a ton of inputs that you don't think you nee...until you do.

I have several Vizios and their all good. As has already been stated, the number of inputs is very key.
My Sharp Aquos has 4 HDMI ports which was great until Christmas, when I went from 3 devices to 5.
If all things are equal, go with the most inputs.

First, I bought Vizio because it's made in the U.S. Second, I got a 55" D Series 4K LED for Christmas and I love it! I'm in a small 1BD apartment and it is plenty big enough. I love the upscaling on it and the picture looks better than my old Sony 1080p LCD that I upgraded from.
