First 2016 pre FA with 53

This is my first jab at it before this crazy free agency plays out. We lose a lot. When comp picks are tradable next year Bengals could look like geniuses. But man this free agency is going to be painful.

1 Josh Doctson WR TCU - Elite body control. The TCU connection will be real. Dalton to Doc will be unfair when you still have AJ Green on the other side. People will think we fall off after losing offensive weapons. We just reload and get better. Doc is going to make MJ look like a sloppy WR2.

2 Vernon Butler DT La Tech - Big bruiser. Has the ability to physically dominate the fat boys. Long term replacement for Peko. Our YPC allowed last year was nothing special. When he is in the middle wrecking shop things will change.

3 Braxton Miller WR tOSU - Perfect replacement for Sanu. People are complaining oh why two WR in the first three rounds.? Well. Dalton just had his best year. And we were loaded with weapons. MJones gets an unmatchable deal and Sanu gets overpaid too. Not many championships come when you are loaded with overpaid WR. Make an effort to restock our weapons and we may not miss a beat. Ok we have AJ and Eifert. Double down with Doc and Braxton and our offense won't skip a beat.

4 Cyrus Jones DB Bama - Most punt return TDs in the nation. Reminds me a little of Tyrann Mathieu. Playmaking ability. Undersized as a DB. If he falls we reload the depth of our secondary.

5 Jatavis Brown LB Akron - The small undersized athletic LB so many on this board want. Ran a 4.4something at the regional combine. 3 time first team MAC.., MAC DPOY, and lead the MAC in sacks and TFL 2015, up there in tackles. Said his ideal position in the NFL is IDK let the team figure it out. We will figure it out.

6 Alix McCalister DE Florida - Long lanky pass rusher. Needs to add weight. Has top tier edge rusher bend. Needs the muscle to go with it. A work in progress. Not our normal DE draft pick. But this guy has the physical ability to put it together. If football means anything to him he knows he has work to do. If he can put on some weight he could become a 6'6" 260lbs pass rushing terror. I'd rather spend time and development on him than Hunt at this point.

7 Lequan McGowan TE/OL/DL Baylor - 6'7" 390lbs - This is my Mike Mitchell buster special. This monster got famous for being bigger than anybody and running and catching the ball. The plan is when we play the Steelers throw this guy the ball while he runs straight up the field until he knocks Mitchells head clean off. (the Steelers) Keep targeting the head  and we got answers. Once he lays Mitchell down for retirement we see if McGowan is a OL or DL.

O25
QB Dalton, AJMC
RB Gio, Hill, Peerman, Burkhead
WR AJ, Doc*, Braxton*, Alford, Tate, Kumerow
TE Eifert, Kroft, Uzi, Hewitt
OL Whit, Boling, Bodine, Zeitler, Ogbuehi, Fisher, Johnson, Hopkins, McGowan*

D24
DT Atkins, Butler*, Peko, Hardison, Deshawn
DE Dunlap, MJ, Clarke, McCalister*
LB Burfict, Maualuga, V Rey, Dawson, Flowers, J Brown*
CB Kirk, Pickman, Dennard, Shaw, Cyrus*
S Nelson, Iloka, Williams, Derron

Cap space spent went to Vrey, Pickman, Iloka, and Nelson. Which is very reasonable with the amount we have left. Include Huber, Nugent, and LS Harris and we are at 52. That leaves a lot of money and 1 free spot. Thoughts???
