Has that number been reported somewhere?

I know the last # I saw reported was from the USAToday guy...

Tom Pelissero‏@TomPelissero
Finally seeing full details on Adam Jones' 3-year, $22M extension with #Bengals. He's due $9 million this year. Biggest payday of his career

And I've seen the total contract value at anywhere from 20 to 24 m. Sportac, OverTheCap and Rotoworld still haven't posted anything either.

So, if I'm reading this right, his actual cap hit will be 7.6m, but he can earn up to 9?

John Baines‏@johnthebaines
Adam Jones deal now reflected in NFLPA records. Salaries $2.3M, $6.3M, $5.3M. 2016 cap hit $7,604,166. Waiting on more details...

@IanWhetstone Makes sense. Cap hits would be $7.6M, $8.7M, $7.7M. He turns 33 right after the start of the '16 reg season so good SB for him

Ian Whetstone ‏@IanWhetstone 2h2 hours ago
@johnthebaines Based on @TomPelissero saying $22M total and $9M in '16, sounds like $2M SB, maybe $4M RB, plus WO and per-gamers.

Yeah these contracts usually have so many stinking escalators and bonuses that may or may not count against the actual cap hit.

Make the playoffs, everyone gets 150k.
Pro-Bowl- 1 mil.
All-pro-1.5mi
etc, etc

I don't think those are apart of the actual Cap. Math is hard, so idk LMAO

No doubt, these contracts can get a little crazy to figure out at times. Some of the details of Adam's deal...

Three years, $22M. $6M guaranteed. $2M signing bonus. $4M roster bonus due March 18. $500K in annual per-game active roster bonuses. $500K playing-time escalator for 2017. $750K playing-time escalator for 2018. $200K punt return average incentive for 2018. 2018 option to be exercised by last day of 2017 league year.
