I think he will be a contributer this season but star might be a bit of a stretch.

Everybody's looking at this the wrong way and evaluating it on a "will Boyd be able to carry the offense" basis, when, in reality, he'll be lucky to be the #2 option.
He can definitely play a big role, but that role won't be anything noteworthy or that noticeable. We don't need him to be a major star, and he won't even have an opportunity to be, but he just needs to do his job when his number is called, which, yes, he can. Facts don't care about your feelings.
