NYJ DL Sheldon Richardson suspended for Bengals game
#1
Just saw this published...one less pass rushing threat to worry about for the opener!

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/6/30/11790014/sheldon-richardson-jets-suspension-week-1
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Good news for Bengal fans. That dude is a beast and that D-line may just be the best in the league.

I doubt they're trying to move him seeing as how they picked up his 5th year option and are at a stalemate with Wilkerson.

The Jets are loaded at DL? How so?

Outside of Richardson (5.0 sacks in 2015), their only pass rush on the actual DL was Wilkerson (12.0) and Leonard Williams (3.0). They did not draft a DL in the 2016 draft, but did add Jarvis Jenkins, who fell off after the bye last year for Chicago. Jenkins only got four sacks last year and a total of two sacks the three years before that.

The combo of Richardson, Wilkerson, and Williams is very good, but a lot of uncertainty after their starters. So they don't really have a loaded DL IMO.

They did have a handful of LBs with a few sacks, but that isn't DL. Did you mean front seven?

Richardson was the second-highest sack leader on NYJ last year, so it should help more than a bit (hopefully).

What they lack in sacks they make up for in run defense. They are the 2nd best D against the run only behind Seattle.

Wait, did anyone inform the NFL that they hate the Bengals and it's going to be the 15th anniversary of 9/11!? Ninja

Why rush when you could pass all day?  Remember what Dalton did to them last time?

A coach yanks a player's hair during a game on a team with a history of coaches interfering with games? Fine rescinded.

Driving 143mph and trying to flee from the police with pot smells and loaded guns for a guy who's already been suspended before? 1 game suspension.

Glancing blow with your shoulder off a falling WR's head from a guy who has never been suspended before? 3 game suspension.

...seems legit. Ninja

I don't think Manziel is the guy to bring up if you're trying to talk about unfair punishment

honestly I have no idea what hes being suspended for or for how long..  Just saying its silly to suspend someone not even in the league.

The league is weird no one wants to hire hardy yet aldon smith is on a team.  I guess it just depends on how big the headlines are.

Best comment on Twitter: "Steelers will protest; NFL will move Richardson's suspension to the Jets' Week 5 game vs. Pittsburgh."

Come on, Johnny (outta) Fartball is pretty much BEGGING for cruel and unusual punishment!

Agreed...nothing scarier than a team in QB purgatory that is missing their top defensive threat.  Ninja

Seriously, we'll be fine...unless they start TJ Yates!

Nah, a team in QB purgatory that is is missing their top defensive threat PLUS it being the 15th anniversary of 9/11 makes them much scarier. Their going to be so much more pumped because of the anniversary. They could probably beat any team in the NFL because of it. Now, they are missing their best defensive threat, so they're even more scary because they will be unpredictable!!

The Bengals will be missing their biggest defensive threat as well. The unpredictability is a wash.

The Diamonbacks beat the Yankees right after 9/11. So there's that too.

Bengals 63.... Jets 10
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

They will? Why will Geno Atkins be missing?
