Power Rankings pre-Week 1
#1
Though they don't mean anything, I always enjoy looking at the power rankings each week and bad mouthing those that put stupid teams in front of the Bengals. With that in mind, let's look at some of the more major Power Rankings heading into Week 1.

NFL.com: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000695955/article/nfl-power-rankings-week-1-panthers-top-cardinals-hawks
Bengals at 9th. Wouldn't be too bad if he didn't have both the Chiefs and Broncos ahead of us. I'd argue the Seahawks and Steelers, too, but not really upset they're there.

ESPN: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17473933/nfl-2016-week-1-power-rankings-seattle-seahawks-pittsburgh-steelers-new-england-patriots
Bengals at 7th Not really upset at placement (though I personally think that Cincy is better than Pitt, the Packers and the Seahawks), but having the Steelers as the 2nd best team in the league? WTF?

Bengals at 7th Again, the Broncos ahead? I know they're defense is just as strong, if not stronger, than last year, but they are going with a rookie QB. And while having a good defense and running game (and Peyton winning the SB playing the worst he's probably ever played outside of his rookie year with this same team) will mean the Broncos may not have as big a drop off (and they did win last night), I still don't see how they should be ahead of most teams and certainly not the Bengals (who almost beat this same team with our untested, virtually rookie QB).

Bengals at 5th Call me a biased homer, but I'm fine with this even though i think we're better than the Packers and Seahawks and maybe even the Cardinals.

USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/rankings/
Bengals at 8th At least this time we're ahead of the Chiefs. Yay?

Like I said, i know these don't matter and I'm just having fun, but the thing that sticks out to me, is that the #1 team on each of those is pretty much different. You get about the same teams in the top 10, but the top team and even the top 3 are almost all different on each of those. I think that just goes to show how many good teams there are and that there really isn't much separating them. AND it will somehow shock people when we not only make the playoffs this season but go all the way to the Super Bowl. ThumbsUp
