Bengals Roster: KeiVarae Russell claimed by Bengals; Trey Hopkins waived

The Cincinnati Bengals are adding to their cornerback depth.

On Thursday, the team announced it claimed cornerback KeiVarae Russell off of waivers. The rookie third round draft pick out of Notre Dame was released by the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday. In a corresponding move, the team waived offensive lineman Trey Hopkins.

The Vigil pick doesn't feel so bad now that we have ourselves two 3rd rounders from this draft. It's kinda like Vigil just became "3-B", which isn't nearly as much of a stretch.

Vigil was not a stretch at all the packers with the next pick took his lb teamate but i was suprised by this because we generally only like first round corners

I remembered he broke his leg at the end of the season and wasn't available for the combine. Here is an article about what he did at his Pro Day at ND. I like the kid's athleticism. A very good prospect for the Bengals.
