This off season is going to take FOREVER lol. First off there's a article about Gunther and Tez talking on the phone during the championships game, saying they wanted a couple of them players I think we will definitely see a Alabama player here. But I will tell you what I would like.
Free agency i would sign both our top o lineman. And I'd persue a pass rusher like Jason Pierre Paul, even with the finger missing he still did good, I remember wanting him before that happened.
Draft time, I was really wanting a #2 receiver, because I feel dalton needs elite talent, guys who can get open, and make big plays on their own. Eifert is injury prone, green has missed his share of big games also. We could probably get away with trading back 10 spots for another 2nd rounder and snag Davis or Ross.
But then I started watching cook and fornette. We play a lot of Marvin ball, so why not try to get a great back, someone who is going to challenge being the best in the NFL. We run conservative approach, run run pass a lot. I don't see that changing while Marvin is here. It makes sense to have that kind of back. I think cook is the best back I'd love to get him if he's there. Fornette everyone is saying no to him. But the way he attacks the defense before they get to him, punishes the defender, is like a marshawn Lynch but faster, problem is injuries. I'm pretty sure Alabama would have won the game if their big running back didn't come out. And they had no passing game really.
That being said yes I would like Foster paired with vontaze I think the NFL would hate that. Or a pass rusher like Allen or their other end in the 2nd round.
O line I feel they could grab one in the 2nd and I really prefer a center. I think we should just go with Fisher and whitworth, center would help alot ,just like it helped the steelers getting pouncy, but I doubt the Bengals really will move on. We still have westerman that was a good pick.
Thoughts??

Westerman might be the backup plan for not signing Zeitler. And they act like they don't think they have a problem at C. Guess the fact that Bodine made the leap from terrible to bad means we're all set.

I am NOT ready for the draft. I'm very interested in who we Franchise Tag March 1st and who we resign in March. IF we lose too many players again in back to back year. the draft won't keep us from winning 4 games or less in 2017. Since there is a chance we could lose 3 Offensive Line starters from March 2016 to March 2017, that could get our quarterbacks killed also.

We traditionally don't use the franchise tag. I think we should...but don't be shocked if they don't.

One would assume they were watching Jonathan Allen and Reuben Foster, but I heard Guenther and Burfict were talking about whether drafting Cam Robinson would fix our offensive line.

LB Raekwon McMillan would be a great look along with Burfict.

Why would the DC and a linebacker be talking about fixing the oline? Doesn't make much sense.

Maybe they realize that Ogbuehi pretty much sank the season single handedly?
I'm sure they want to win as much as anyone.

I really, really doubt we see a LB in round 1, even if they slide back. They run more than two-thirds of their defense out of nickel, with just two LBs, and they have Burfict and Vigil as the likely starters for nickel next year. Vinny Rey will likely be in base and nickel on a rotational basis.
Do I think they need more youth and speed at LB? Sure. Do I think they have a much bigger need on the offensive line, RB, and DE position? Hell, yes.

Anyone have a link to this talk they had? I haven't had time to be on here a lot but this is the second or third mention of this. I would like to read about it. Thanks in advance!

Because the DC will be the HC in 2018 and Burfict is just football smart.

I like a lot of what you say here man.
Honestly there are lots of ways to go in this Draft early that would make me happy. Pass rusher, RB, Center..
Dalvin Cook, Taco Charlton and John Toth is my ideal scenario right now. Get that bad ass RB along with a good
pass rusher opposite Dunlap and a physical, nasty Center to open up holes for Cook and hopefully Rex is back.

NUGENT......I talk to many people not Bengals Fan and every time somebody makes a kick in the play-offs they say, " That guy can kick, Nothing like your Bengals ". .....I mention this if we really want to point out the weakest link that needs to leave the island. Of course Nugent already left the island and was Terminated. ......Remember Atkins was injured a year and slower the next year back but now back on his game. Bengals drafted an injured player they knew would be on injured list his rookie season. This second year was really his rookie year to me in his first time able to play in NFL. I would not judge Ogbuehi too much on 2017. If he gets rookie mistakes out of way and gets healthy, all Bengals Fans will love this 2015 draft pick. This kid did not sink the Bengals. If anybody did, it was NUGENT. In London vs Washington he lost the game, but he lost us other games. That moving the extra kick back in NFL really blew his mind. I've never seen so many missed extra points, and those lose ball games. They really come back to kill you in the game. Some games he missed more than one extra point. .....NUGENT KILLED OUR SEASON.

I wanna get the guy from Arizona State. Zane Gonzalez 23 of 25 this year 92%accuracy with a long of 59 yards.

The draft is Cleveland's super bowl and one of the few things Brownie fans have to look forward to. So it is for us as well when you get right down to it.
The draft is one of those quirks of fan happiness. If you get the number one pick most fans are happy as a pig in s**t and don't stop to think that the only reason you get the number one pick is because your team really sucked the previous season. It's one of those things that make fans really hope their teams really tank beyond the halfway point of every season.
Hooray! We're number 32! Said every Browns fan ever..
We got to say HOORAY, we were number 23!
That aside once our season is over the league ceases to exist in my mind until the draft. It's kind of like getting super excited about sale ads for items I don't need and couldn't afford even if I wanted them. Yey! That 13 inch black and white (not cable ready) TV finally went on sale!
I'm really struggling to hold back my enthusiasm here..
In the immortal words of my old man, "Wait'll you get to be my age!"
Chicago sounds rough to the maker of verse, but the one comfort we have is Cincinnati sounds worse. ~Oliver Wendal Holmes Sr.

And could probably be had in the early 3rd round. I think with a trade for AJM, the Bengals could end up with as many as 5 picks in the first three rounds. That would be unbelievable.
RB, C, G, DE would top my list, but McMillan could certainly be an option depending on who is there.
