A Billionaire Walks Into A Massage Parlor
#1
And there just so happened to be an ongoing investigation into human trafficking and he happened to get caught paying for sexual favors from the foreign women(?) who were working there.

Just a slap on the wrist right?

All day long. I also think I read where he (Kraft) would be charged with a misdemeanor, so this won't come out to anything.

What?  Are you insinuating that the rich guy should be punished more harshly than the regular joes that may be guilty of the same offense?

While Kraft was already a pretty detestable dude, the good that will come out of this is that he'll most certainly be making a significant donation to some anti human trafficking organization and that this ring was busted. It's improbable he knew what was going on behind the scenes, hence the misdemeanor charges. He can pay his way out of this.

Seriously though, how does a dude with that much money not just have some escort on payroll or something? I understand this about as much as I understand athletes not having a personal driver so they don't get DUI charges.

That's what they've been saying on ESPN.

Honestly, the worst part for Kraft is they keep saying it's related to human trafficking. I imagine the other owners will force him to step down, but its, asfaras we know, just a misdemeanor.

Thanks just wanted to check. That was the feeling I was getting from the fake news media and their reports.

"Its all good man. Nothing to see here." Poor rich dude cant even afford private sex slaves.

I mean what deserves more scrutiny?  A billionaire knowing exactly where to go to get his rocks off caught with video evidence in a human trafficking bust. Or a pizza place linked to Hillary because of youtube conspiracy videos.

Sadly almost half the country may not know the right answer.

You dont think the billionaire knew what he was doing going to a random asian massage parlor the day his team played in the AFC championship game? He just
inadvertently had the foreign worker perform the sex acts he paid for by happenstance.

Come to think if it. There are probably a bunch of little run of the mill massage parlors billionaire NFL owners go to on the day their teams are playing in championship games.

I have no love for Robert Kraft and know human trafficking is perhaps the worst crime possible. IMO Prostitution should be legal, but it seems you're trying to tie this a little more to the "his team had a game that day" slant than it deserves. If dude is going to engage in such activity I see no difference if his team had a game. What should he have been doing? Out running routes for Brady?

Damn you are sharp. I was in indeed trying to place emphasis. That fact the billionaire knew exactly where to go to get sexual services from a place under investigation for human trafficking raises some red flags. Then the fact he felt so comfortable visiting this location and participating in these activities that it was part of his pre-championship game routine makes it even more concerning. This wasn't an accident or first time thing.

Interesting that a strong pro lifer also supports prostitution. Weird combo. But that is a different topic.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't really give a shit if a billionaire septuagenarian horndog wants to pay to get his rocks off. I'm sure that he knew exactly what he was paying for and what he was looking to get.

Unless it comes out that he knew that the parlor was a front for human trafficking, this is only a big deal because a) it turns out that it was a front for human trafficking and b) because he's the owner of the most successful NFL franchise. Not because he was paying for a happy ending.

Twice.

He went twice in less that 24 hours.

And I agree with bfine, prostitution should be legal (safe and regulated). But in this case the women were sex slaves (essentially) and it IS still illegal so he will pay a fine and move on.

I think the league will be tough on him though.  Probably max fine and a few games suspension like they did for Irsay.  (Although he was acing four FELONIES.)

Goodell just has a ton of leeway though so he'll throw the book at Kraft.

Sidenote: Can they take his wife's monogram off the uniforms now?  Dude was done mourning when he started dating that actress a couple months after his wife died.

This is a setup and fake news perpetuated by the Steelers because they are jealous. The police and the massage parlor will all be sued by Kraft.

This is interesting because it brings to question, is ignorance a reasonable defense? He probably didn't know, no one probably does when they visit because they choose not to think about it. The issue is that because no one really cares to know the demand for these sex parlors that are staffed by slaves continue to boom. Attaching Krafts name to this is really for the sole purpose to draw attention to the fact that parlors like this are staffed by slaves.

I actually believe a regulated national sex industry would make a huge impact on human trafficking in terms of sex. With legalization doing it illegally becomes less lucrative. When the risk outweighs the payoff shady characters tend to move on to more lucrative businesses.

Can someone define for me sex trafficing in the US? I mean are these women and or girls who were kidnapped and forced to do this? Are these people
who are lured into the business, and then can't get out?

In this case it was women from China or South Korea brought here on the promise they would work jobs as waitresses or maids but end up having their passports taken and then forced to work in the sex trade. They use varying degrees of coercion to keep them compliant.

From the initial reports they weren't even allowed to leave the building.

And it was ran by two women.

At the ground level, the ring apparently has roots all the way back in China. 10 total locations and they said possibly 200 indictments coming beyond just the public John list. They said the things reported aren't even the tip of this ice berg.

Correct.  Thanks for clarifying.

I thought I read 700+ people being charged but maybe that was another story.

It is sad and awful on multiple levels!

I guess if you are coming from the Far East to a western country and probably don't even know the language they can convince you of pretty much anything.

And the people already here can make it all legal for you to get here and then make you suddenly "illegal" and you have nowhere to turn.  You have no money, don't know the language and are breaking the law.

It's just terrible.
