Repeatedly pushing three different buttons for hours is much sadder than playing complex strategy games.

If you can keep yourself entertained that way the better for you. I played a lot of games by myself im my younger days. And probly even more now. although video games

You make a good point.

Wow, another game I had that I'd forgotten about.

Also remembering some Bambino games I had.  I didn't remember the brand name, I just knew I had a football game and a safari game, and apparently there weren't many competing electronic safari games.

I used to play in my grade school's pep band.  Well, "pep band" was a bit of a stretch, it was volunteers from the 5th though 8th grade bands that would play at the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball games.  I brought this to one of the games, and in between numbers we passed it around.  I was a big hit that night.

I also recall a version of these games appearing in the 1981 film Friday the 13th Part II.

Yeah, mine was a hand me down from my brother, I was in the era you're talking about, but I did have one of those metal, vibrating football games bought new.  I didn't think anything would top Tecmo Bowl......until Tecmo Super Bowl arrived on the scene. Smirk

THAT'S what I had for a football game...the old LA Rams and not sure about the other team, Giants maybe? Amazing how little it took to entertain us back then!
