The O-line was awesome, top 3 QB, Best WR group in the league.

I'd argue the '81 and '82 Bengals were more well rounded teams than the '88 squad, though that was probably my favorite team of all time. They were also really good in the mid 70s, but the Dolphins, Raiders, and Steelers were legendary unfortunately.

Correct.  But, it's hard not to love the 88 team.

Sure 88 team was fun but 81 team loved also since they broke Steelers domination after SB win in 80. Many young fans have little clue of how dominant Steelers were and how hard it was to just make the playoffs to even have a SB chance in 70s especially with only 1 WC team making it a year. Think about today 7 of 16 teams make playoffs back in mid 70s to 80s was 4 out of 14, so 44% chance now to 29% then

It's probably 1988, I agree with the posters above. The team was so well rounded, Boomer put up arguably the best season in Bengals QB history. It's hard to not say them.

Hard for me to choose between ‘88 and ‘01.
If Boomer was healthy or if they don’t drop that Int in the end zone they would have won it.
2021 if they give the QB a second more I think they win (Chase is still the man).

I wish Burrow would have just chucked up a prayer for Chase a step or two earlier…
